I wouldn't insult them, D23, since personal insults are against the rules. Then again, this user has made personal attacks nonstop--including during this conversation--towards 6 or more posters and they're still trucking, so... Who knows. It's like if thedisneyspirit and PapiBear were combined into one user.

This is one of a few things that just cant be translated into Live Action. I think what made Stitchs design work extremely well is that basically all characters were leaning to Sanders unique Artstyle and it all really melt together. I think he would also work WDAS CG style, without fur like in Disney Infinity, but the detailing alongside the Shapelanguage clashes. BAM! POW aghhhhhh

I really dont wanna know how Pleakley and Jumba look
Songs that slap right now:

1. Die for me (Zayn)*new
2. What u see is what u get (Britney Spears)
3. Sugar talking (...𝖲𝖺𝖻𝗋𝗂𝗇𝖺 𝖢𝖺𝗋𝗉𝖾𝗇𝗍𝖾𝗋!)
4. Get this right! (Frozen 2)
5. Stuck on you (Lionel Richie)
6. Taste (𝖲𝖺𝖻𝗋𝗂𝗇𝖺𝖺𝖺𝖺)
7. Part of ur world reprise (Little mermaid)
8. 𝖢𝖺𝗋𝗂𝖻𝖻𝖾𝖺𝗇 𝖰𝗎𝖾𝖾𝗇! ( 𝖡𝗂𝗅𝗅𝗒 𝖮𝖼𝖾𝖺𝗇)
9. 𝖳𝗁e Boy is mine (Brandy & Monica)
10. Thats how you know (Enchanted)

This makes me wonder… do we know if Pleakley and Jumba will appear as CGI aliens in Hawaii, or if they will appear as live action, human actors? Since the movie was originally intended for Disney+, I could see the budget forcing them into the latter option. And honestly, I think that would probably work better. In the animated film, it is easier to suspend your disbelief that the human characters are buying Pleakley and Jumba as humans, too, but I think that would be much more difficult in a live action film. I mean, I guess it’s still ridiculous in the animated film but it will be harder to buy when you can see real flesh and blood humans onscreen.

I hope they keep Pleakley’s penchant for drag.

Here's the movie display from D23 Brazil.

I think Stitch looks slightly better in the new still. And bluer like in the original, though perhaps it's just the light. By the way, I didn't notice Lilo also appears in the image until I saw someone point it out on Twitter.

I saw this article the other day, which seems to indicate Pleakley and Jumba will indeed have a human appearance while they're on Earth. I agree it's probably the right choice for this movie.

Oh, I love the idea of Jumba and Pleakley being in human form. And yes to the drag part.

Well, that was a nice poster. Simple, but still fine enough.

BREAKING…

Here is the first 30-second teaser trailer for Disney’s all-new live-action #LiloAndStitch, only in theaters Memorial Day Weekeend 2025: https://youtu.be/m5fMyIImwEY?si=kKaf7ZXpEwRDifTj.

Gotta say, this first teaser trailer did the job quite perfectly.

And Stitch actually looks more bluer as he did in the animated original movie now.

Stitch looks great in the poster. I only hope that Jumba and Pleakley look as good as him. I also wish that Disney keeps Pleakley's hobby of dressing as a woman. He was so funny, the best gags from the movies are from these scenes in my opinion. Maybe they'll find it offensive but in my opinion it was harmless and was part of Pleakley's personality.

Still not fond of Stitch's design; it did not translate very well in CG, but the gag with the Disney sand castle was clever.
