I don't have any strong thoughts on the stuff from the presentation.... I will definitely watch it cause I think the first one is brilliant.

Two concerns:

1) The annoying puns linked to other recent Disney owned films/shows at the beginning...

2) Ke Huy Quan: I like the guy, a lot. But they'd better explain the accent in the movie...

The lighting and animation in those clips look really good! It feels rich, playful and nicely stylised. I hope this effort is also pushed even further in the original 2026 film Jennifer Lee just announced!

There's still obviously time for disappointment to reveal itself, but I haven't seen anything yet for this movie that's had me concerned.

Happy that Quan's making his Disney debut, and that we're getting some in-universe acknowledgement of where the other branches of the animal kingdom are supposed to be in this mammal-verse.

The world building of the first Zootopia is strong enough that I think most of us are already sold on the prospect of seeing more of it. A detective story can go many interesting places that don’t necessarily have to feel repetitive of previous story entries. I’m not exactly looking forward to this film (I keep forgetting it’s happening!), but I hope it’s solid and I enjoy it.

Well, since Zootopia was never one of my favorites in the first place, the sequel was the project that I was looking least forward to. But the new sequence looked fun, so perhaps I`m going to give it a shot, after all. As for the promotional scene at the presentation, I liked it, despite how I disliked the meta-jokes of the posters. Gary looks like a blend of Kaa in The Jungle Book and Juju in The Princess and the Frog.

Disney released the artwork in better quality. I hadn't noticed the animals formed the number "2" of Zootopia 2! Here's also the short bit at the beginning of the presentation that was missing from the other video and an interview with Ginnifer Goodwin and Jared Bush.

Happy that Quan's making his Disney debut, and that we're getting some in-universe acknowledgement of where the other branches of the animal kingdom are supposed to be in this mammal-verse.

I didn't expect they would expand the world beyond mammals. I wonder if Zootopia 3 will include other types of animals like birds, for example.

Either they are being framed for a crime they didnt commit and are now wanted (Roger Rabbitish) or they are Zootopias first interracial couple and they are all on the news lol. But either one would be interesting.

I didn't see the entire presentation from D23, but some of these story details felt new to me, like the fact that Judy and Nick are going undercover to pursue Quan's snake, who is a fugitive.

Also, apparently we're going to see "almost everybody" from the first film as cameos.

Anyways, Ginnifer is literally the perfect Disney fan.

Yes, there were several new story details there. Thanks for posting! It's interesting that Judy and Nick are going undercover this time. I guess that explains the outfits they were wearing in the leaked clip. Also, Ke Huy Quan's character was presented as a dangerous and creepy snake, but if he and Judy are going to spend a lot of time together in the movie, I guess he'll be actually one of the good guys and will probably help Judy and Nick solve the case. Jared Bush also says there he has Ke Huy Quan's personality, so that's further proof of that. To be honest, I'm glad about it. I didn't see him playing a bad guy.

That's a fun game! The beaver is a good bet. I don't know why, but the circus bear also looks suspicious to me. And have you noticed there are three chameleons dressed in suits in the poster? I wonder if they're spies or something.

Also Gazelle is back!

Yes, Jared Bush didn't want to confirm is she was back or not, but the poster reveals she is. I wonder if she'll have a new song in the film.

Anyhoo, is it wrong that I low-key hope they drop some hints at ClawBogo (Clawhauser/Bogo) at different points in the movie? It's serious wishful thinking, yeah, but I really love the ship.

I admit I was very excited when I saw the little bit they premiered for this. There's something about the chemistry of those characters, hopefully this franchise can go on for several films, too.

I admit I'm curious about how both this and Moana 2 will perform. This one because it was always one of those films that wasn't really talked about very much (and didn't sell much merchandise) despite making a billion at the box office--will people be engaged to come back for the sequel for it to match that or do better? Whereas Moana didn't do nearly as well but has been #1 on streaming several years--how much will streaming amount to? I mean, a sequel to Moana should do well anyway, but maybe that extra boost could help it get closer to Frozen numbers, I suppose.
