Thank you Brelly and Amy! I will try to store my dolls at my place, though I cannot afford shelves/display cases right now. In fact, that is the main reason my mom wants me to sell my dolls, so I have more money. I just hope I can convince her to let me keep whatever I can fit, and that I can fit all my dolls! I will sell my statues and one of my glass slippers though, I do not need those as badly. I have two other glass slippers I care more about.

We are indeed getting a LE Mary Poppins doll, coming 2025!! Gives me plenty of time to save up!!

https://www.instagram.com/p/C-brCFdpk1S ... h3NG1jcg==

It looks like she’ll be released as part of a whole Mary Poppins 60th anniversary merchandise collection. DisneyStore’s instagram story also showcased a Penguin plushie and Minnie ears that will celebrate the anniversary. On Reddit, I saw a statuette of Mary in her traveling costume and an ornament of Mary in the “Spoonful of Sugar” scene, as well. I’m sure more (and better quality) pics will come out from D23 attendees today.

Best image of the doll and ornament I’ve seen so far, from eddiecoven’s Instagram story:

It’s a pretty decent likeness. To quote PL Travers, she’s got the nose for it! And the ornament is fabulous— using the nursery blocks to spell out her name at the bottom.

The ornament looks amazing. The doll however looks weird. The face mold doesn't looks like Julie's face. Let's hope for more pictures to see her better!

Yeah, I was kind of hoping they would go for a more stylized representation of Mary for the face mold. There is a cartoon version of the character used in some parks merch that I like: https://www.ebay.com/itm/266067642090?m ... media=COPY I think Disney really struggles with face molds of live action actors. I hope Mattel also releases an anniversary doll (there seems to be a trend of Disney releasing a collectors doll and Mattel following up a few months later) of Mary because I think their face mold would be better.

Still, I’m not complaining— I’d given up hope we were getting anything this good! Between this doll and the 60th Anniversary vinyl collection, I feel very satisfied with Mary Poppins’ anniversary rollout…

A 4K BD release next, please???

I'm also happy about Disney releasing merchandise of this classic.
A new 4k restoration would be a dream come true!

I feel like they took this Jane Porter clipart and reworked it slightly to come up with that Mary Poppins art :/

Ha! I think you are right! Disney said they were going get some mileage out of the Tarzan brand, Burroughs estate be damned! lol

Plus they bypass having to pay Julie Andrews for the use of her likeness. Two birds with one stone!

That Jane clip-art looks nothing like the Mary Poppins artwork in question. It may be a similar pose, but it's definitely not a trace job.

I said reworked but I wouldn't discount partial tracing either -- just look at the front three skirt folds in both images. This goes beyond similarity; they're almost identical.

Totally agree. The shape of the feets is the same. They only changed the arms.

Wow! Brelly, you must be so happy! I would be ecstatic with all this merchandise for my favorite classic! The only things really a let-down are the doll face mold not looking like Julie and the tracing of Jane Porter (good catch, Mooky!). I do really like Mary's face in that Jane rip-off, though!

I watched both artworks again and they even copied the shape of the skirt 😂

Mattel is releasing a 35th Anniversary Ariel doll in her purple gown.

https://www.instagram.com/the_doll_dadd ... hkb3AxMGRv

I’m really curious what the price point on this will be. I am thinking around the price of the Tiana and Cinderella Disney 100 dolls. Anything more is too much (well, honestly $50 is too much, too, but expected. Potentially over priced or not, I still want it).

The thing that she wears around her neck looks like if it was made with hot glue....the make up is pretty simple too.
Some people are saying that the face mold is like the 90s one but I don't see them similar...

Yeah, if I owned her and took her out of the box, I would remove it. Reminds me of the plastic, platinum-colored embellishments on those Tiana and Cinderella dolls. Bleh.

I don't understand why they made such an amazing work on the Regal Glamour Ariel and now they make this...

Does anybody read about the problems of buying Ariel in D23? People is really upset about that.
It seems that queues were not respected. The first dolls were given by cast members to the costumers but finally they left the dolls at the ground and people could take them directly. Too much people buying to resell them.
