I tried to find a pic, but they were leaks so Disney maybe scrubbed them off the internet? Anyway, they were both of Ariel in her blue Tour of the Kingdom dress, one for general release, and the other slightly more detailed for D23.

There was another leak of what appeared to be a Certificate of Authenticity for a Tiana doll, but no leaks of the actual doll.

And I continue to pray that we’ll get a Mary Poppins release!

I wanted the Sally Slater doll but she sold out pretty quickly online.
In Europe Sally Slater is not sold out. Here She’s not so popular as in the USA maybe because the ride here has other story and other paintings in the streching room with other characters.
About Ariel dolls I saw both of them and I have to say that I still don't understand qhy the general release looks so cheap when the price is almost the same.

True, but it wasn`t the same, official franchise as the one that is relevant today. Cause the official franchise didn`t start until the new Millenium.
I am sorry, I think you make smart posts all the time, but I must respectfully say I don't think you are correct here. What made the franchise official in the new millennium as opposed to when it started in the '90s?
Thanks :) I don`t want to sound condescending, but it`s true. The official franchise started in the new Millenium, as proven here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disney_Princess
Thumper_93 wrote: Sun Jul 14, 2024 7:52 am Esmeralda was included too and she was removed. Honestly I don't know how they decided about adding or removing characters by the time. Esmeralda was popular during the 90s and at the beginning of the brand she was incluyes on some magazines and in the Disney store doll collection. After that she was removed at all. Maybe they decided that after testing how well the character sold but honestly if this is the main rule to include a character into the franchise then I don’t know Why Raya has been included when nobody cares about her.
According to rumors, Esmeralda was apparently removed because that she was less popular and sold less merchandise than her counterparts. And that she was difficult to market. Raya was most likely included as she was deliberately made to be included in the Princess franchise, just as every other Princess after Tiana.

I sort of agree. I was disappointed because I thought the D23 doll was much nicer, and obtaining that is pretty much out of the question for me. I think I’m actually going to sit out all the Ariel LE dolls this year which is crazy… of course, I would have preferred her in her mermaid form but knew that was unlikely since they’d done that 5 years ago.

I don't know what they are going to make for the 40th anniversary. The only gown that she has left is the transformation one and it's very simple to make it for a LE doll. I'm sure that they are going to release her with her mermaid tail soon or later!

I use antlers in all of my masquerading! And I seriously love the fur cape.

By the way, the Maleficent and Aurora Collector Fashion dolls have been released, and so have a line of Villain Fashion dolls.

I like the cape, too. I think Gaston is the only one I’d consider buying.

Gaston is the best in this masquerade wave. Ariel looks so cheap. They know that she's going to sell anyway and they didn't put much effort on her.
Alice looks cute but I don't understand why they are always making her looks like a 18 years old woman instead of a child. I know that they can create more fashionable looks with a grown body but she would have been very charming as a child.
The queen of hearts looks awful. The face mold is great but the gown looks like one of these ugly gowns that an aunt could wear in a wedding.
Snow White looks cute. I don't like the short skirt and the pleated but it seems that Disney loves this kind of skirts. The palette colors are the same one that they used in th ultimate princess doll and in the premiere doll. These colors looks great on her but they could have take more risks and do the same concept with other colors. She would have been different from the previous dolls and I think that she would have been lovely too.

Mulan is a showstopper, though. The other two not so much.

Is this replacing the Radiance Collection from Mattel? Or is an additional line?

Since the concepts are quite different (the new one is giving me MET gala vibes whereas the former one leans heavily into original movie designs), I assume the two lines will run concurrently -- unless they completely gave up on the Radiance collection and this one is its replacement.

Yes, I think you’re right. But I also feel like the Radiance Collection was announced around this time last year so I’m wondering when our next update is.

Off-topic but within the general topic, I was thinking just last night that I wished Disney released more creative tail designs for Ariel like they did in the 90’s. Both the Tyco and Mattel lines from that time had really interesting and unique fashion tails for Ariel.

I posted this in the D23 thread; IDK if the Aladdin and Jasmine dolls were already posted in this thread:

Thank you for sharing!! There was a leak floating around, don’t remember if it got posted here but these are much better photos. So pretty.

I really am not in a place financially to be invested in a doll collecting right now! The Enchanted Elegance Ariel doll is growing on me. And the sheer length of Rapunzel’s hair is also incredible. At least those dolls are less expensive than Disney’s $150 dolls, and not limited.

I like the Enchanted Elegance Ariel doll very much.

I love that they did Midnight Masquerade Anastasia and Drizella!

I am in danger of losing a lot of my dolls because my mom wants me to sell the ones I left at her place that I "never see". I hope she'll let me keep all the ones I can fit in my current place!

Could you visit some thrift stores to see if you can find cheap storage (shelves, etc.) so you can try to store the dolls where you live now? I got two wood/glass display cases I keep Pops and other figurines in at a thrift store for $40 for both.
