According to this website, she voices the waitress who serves Goofy and Max in this scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22zJAXCb-eQ

Carole Holliday was the one who designed Roxanne from A Goofy Movie.
โ€œBecause of the things that I was doing on The Little Mermaid, because of Jamie, itโ€™s one of those things.โ€ Director Kevin Lima saw Caroleโ€™s drawings and wanted her on the team for A Goofy Movie, but with tight budgetary restrictions, he wasnโ€™t able to hire her yet. He asked her to design the character of Roxanne for free. โ€œI was like sure, why not. I drew that and thatโ€™s why she has the swoopy hair, because I was working on The Little Mermaid. At the time, I was putting a mole on every character so thatโ€™s why she has that mole. Kevin took that to the person in charge and they said โ€˜I want her to be on my project.โ€™โ€ Officially hired to work on A Goofy Movie, Carole was transferred to Paris where she designed additional characters for the film, including Roxanneโ€™s friend Stacy. โ€œWhen that was done, thatโ€™s when I started going into storyboarding as a revisionist.โ€

There were group recording sessions for the movie even though it's uncommon in animation.
โ€œIt was wonderful, Billy [Farmer] and I get along so well. Weโ€™re sort of like Abbott and Costello or Laurel and Hardy.โ€ As the voice of Pete the cat, Jim Cummings has spent a lot of time with Bill Farmer over the years, but thatโ€™s not why A Goofy Movie was special to him. โ€œIt was great to see the characters advanceโ€ฆ They were like two sightgag charactersโ€ฆ It was great to see them expand.โ€ After working with the characters for so long on Goof Troop, A Goofy Movie was a refreshing experience and Jim Cummings also enjoyed the group recording sessions with Bill Farmer and James Marsden. โ€œI like that more because if you ad lib and I kind of do and they donโ€™t mind it, sometimes it makes the next line make less sense and the other actors like it because they donโ€™t have to come back in to record more lines.โ€

Reminds me of how Jennifer Lee's role on Frozen increased as it went along because of how much her contributions were liked.

The guy who voiced Goofy in goof troop hade gotten too bad a voice from a life tome of smoking so he couldn't voice the role here instead Jan Modin took over ,'

He also voiced Jiminy Cricket in the new dubb of Pinocchio and the Principal in Teacher's Pet.

There's a new documentary coming out about the making of A Goofy Movie called Not Just a Goof. While it's not made by Disney, it was recently screened on the Disney Dream cruise ship for Vacation Club members. Hopefully, Disney will buy the film and give it a commercial release. It's perfect for Disney+.

I would be very interested in learning more about the animation production of the film, and which studios handled it.

I know the bulk was animated at Walt Disney Animation Paris, before that studio became an official satellite of WDAS, but not much else.

A Goofy Movie has achieved a fascinating cult status over the last few years.

Is it too late to swap this with Dinosaur in WDASโ€™s official filmography? Itโ€™s arguably more โ€˜Disneyโ€™. And, perhaps an unpopular opinion, it also boasts much better animation.

Funny how this became a beloved classic.

Sure, why not? Remember that Dinosaur is now a part of the official Canon list. And sure, it has better animation. Regardless of it`s lackluster staple, I think Dinosaur deserves credit for it`s strengths, which are the music and animation.

I think A Goofy Movie has better animation than Oliver and Company, but it's not really on the same level as most Disney hand drawn animated films, especially at the time of its release, I really think they didn't want to put it side by side with movies like The Lion King or Pocahontas. It's also worth noting that it's a follow up to a TV show. If it had been released in the '80s, I could definitely see them adding it to the Disney canon. I think the movie is okay and it's a pity that Disney Toons couldn't keep the same quality for their films afterwards and devolved into cheap DTV sequels factory.

I watched the movie for the first time earlier this year. It was surprisingly great! :D I felt really seen as me and my dads relationship is literally identical to theirs, hes as goOfY and clingy as Goofy and i (still kinda) try to avoid him sometimes and relate to Max. Almost made me feel bad for daddy lgm

One of the best Disney movies ever!ย Its in my Top 20. And the Pop songs are quite catchy
But still havent seen the sequel,ย  i might watch it the next couple weeks.

Thats a good point. After Rescuers down unders Box office failure, they figured out that classic fairytale musicals were the big thing that will define the studios era, so they probably sidelined Goofy movie which could have harmed the studios look or anticipation i guess.

But its still way better than Lion King. Im more of a dogs person anyway :P

And rightly so. This is a very lovely film. I love how you can see where both Max and Goofy are coming from and yet you are sympathetic to both sides. BTW, I recently met Jason Marsden, voice of Max, at the Horror Expo, and I got him to autograph my BD. He was an extremely sweet young man and a pleasure to talk to. (He also told me that he loves the classic handdrawn and regards Emperor's New Groove and Home om the Range as mistakes; I have to agree.) It was a delight.

The Emperor's New Groove was NOT a mistake. But, Home on the Range, yeah, that was a mistake.

I personally felt Emperor's New Groove was an iffy kind of movie. It's not horrible, but it's not great. It's kinda mediocre. But the problem that I had with Home on the Range is that I felt Disney wasn't really trying at all with that movie. It just felt like a five-minute short needlessly stretched out to 75 minutes. And the less said about Ralph Wrecks the Internet, the better. Both of those are rock-bottom Disney for the following reasons. 1) Range is pretty dumb, and 2) Internet I felt I was watching a soulless commercial for Disney masquarading as a film, and with an obviously shoehorned message. It hit rock bottom for me with the ghastly princess scenes (all of looked hideous in CGI IMO) and when the girl started to sing in that squeaky, tone-deaf voice. Both of those really killed this movie for me. Even some of the studio's lesser known movies, like The Black Cauldron, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Atlantis: The Lost Empire were far more ambitious and daring. Would I say they're perfect, no (although HoND IS one of the greats IMO), but they all tried to do something different than the usual. Then of course there was DuckTales: The Movieโ€”Treasure of the Lost Lamp, which I absolutely loved (Scrooge McDuck and company do Indiana Jones and Christopher Lloyd as an evil sorcerer? You can't get much better than this.), and this film, A Goofy Movie. It was very seldom for Disney to make an animated film where there is no real villain and instead just internal conflicts that are the source of problems for the story, especially one with a normally clumsy character. But they pulled it off beautifully.
