I watched that a couple days ago. I could see concept!Amaya doing that, but Final Cut!Amaya?? Seems a lot out of character for her and I’m glad they didn’t go this route.

Ok glad they "improved" the ending killing off the King when he wasnt a threat anymore and then claiming that this kingdom is way more peaceful and safe without him in charge...

Old deadly disney defeats like Ursula or Maleficent were justified, the heroes had to defend their attacks, but this? He was just a mirror This was murder! and them all clapping and cheering after she killed him out of boredom, this whole movie is a feverdream

Of course it is, how can you not see that it’s not, especially whenever you look at it subtly? Especially also when you’re older and you can read between the lines and open parentheses (should) know when someone is truly evil and not living up to what they should be doing and in the way they should be, let along what you truly want and need, and well beyond the Bare Necessities. Seriously, I’m actually legitimately worried about your mental health if you think that just having the Bare Necessities and living in a place about rent or conflict is truly enough to live a life….

Youre totally right Patricier! Im so sorry. Magnifico is indeed one of Disneys most evilest villains ever! It was so heartless of him to build a peaceful community where people freewillingly came in hopes they can get a shortcut to lazy wishes. Hes so cruel for not granting every single wish in existense including the Wish to make the whole universe explode

Magnifico was actually evil when he soaked up Star for his powers and tried to silence everyone in the "climax", even though he was mind controlled by the dark book, but who cares?
In this case we should also charge Prince Eric for Hooking up with Ursulas alter ego and dumping Ariel for her, right?...

Im worried about your mental health too babes, especially as you should be "older and able to read between the lines"

The only reason Magnifico doesn't die in the film is because they were leaving sequelbait available if Wish had went on to be a success. Sequels are the main reason Disney wanted to get in the 3D business back when, unfortunately it sometimes causes them to edge away from proper endings and weakens their product at times--Magnifico not dying being one of those. I don't think you'd have to be as evil as Maleficent to deserve death, Hans also deserved it (I'd say he was a bit worse than Magnifico, but they both belong in the same bag).

That said, his reaction to being locked in the mirror was cute, even though it feels too comic after what had just been happening 5 minutes prior.

Has it ever occurred to you that you are over thinking and reading between the lines a bit too much? Do you not understand that it is fairly obvious for him to not grant such a wish as “blowing up the whole universe“ yet that also does not excuse him to make lame excuses for not granting a centurions wishes which are completely harmless, and only appear so because he is too conditioned to that kind of mindset, it has become increasingly misguided let alone taking away the whole purpose of granting the wishes, as he only does what he thinks is right, which is not always what is truly right. Not one person is ever truly right about anything, right? And do not understand how he is not truly doing what he said out to be, and his only granting with benefits him and not What benefits his people? Again, he makes it seem like he’s benefitting the others but he’s really Not. And I know for a fact that a lot of the negativities towards the movie overall or just towards Disney these days in general; I’ll bet that if it wasn’t for Bob Chepek, The pandemic etc. and Disney had actually been doing better even if he still had a big string of flops leading up to wish, it would’ve done a lot better and would’ve been much more greatly received. Your example of prince Eric being brainwashed is one thing, but you could see that magnifico is already malicious until he encountered the book, they literally do even speak about it, you maybe should go back and rewatch the movie, And actually truly form your own true opinion instead of being influenced by others, which again I can tell that you and others are prioritizing more because you just don’t want to look bad, too afraid to actually be different when in fact it could very well be true, but even if it’s not, you’re completely contradicting what it truly means to think let alone truly be human be independent and have a true opinion, which is also a very bad example and again the main reason why the movies so overall received, regardless of any kind of objective faults……

I think that if they don't sell it then all the merchandise will be destroyed. Does anybody know if Disney has to pay anything if they give all this products to charity? In some cases some companies destroy their products because that's the easy way to avoid to pay taxes.

They could have promoted the movie as Spanish but they didn't, the fault of Disney and Disney Spain

Like I didn't even saw the Telediario Talk about the movie being based in Spain, very flop marketing campaign here in Spain about a movie based in the country

You are all right. I expected a better marketing with this movie.
The only good things that they made was Ana Guerra singing the song with projections of Star in Madrid's Plaza Mayor.

Honestly I expected them to use Nia Correia, the winner of OT who is half black half amazigh (canarian) like Asha (Ana Guerra is also half amazigh but Nia fits much more with the character)

In general a very flop marketing campaign in Spain, Portugal, Latin America, the Arab countries and Israel (since Asha is also half jewish)

And I went to the Disney100th Exhibtion again to see what was new there and there were clips from Wish shown at the ending part of the exhibition. Mattel is also going to release another King Magnifico doll and this time he comes alone, he's not included in any pack with Asha or the king.
I think that they though that the movie was going to be a huge success and decided to make so much merchandise. They didn't expect this flop. Now they are trying their best to make it attractive to the audience but honestly they lost all the oportunities to make it popular. It even didn't become popular on tiktok as hapenned with Encanto.

The only thing they could do to save all the merch they made is to make a short film in from of a future movie or something for Disney Plus

This way MAYBE (just maybe) Wish gets enough popularity that they can sell the merch they already have

Not saying the brand will be popular, but like they clearly need to sell the merch, I've been multiple stores in 3 different countries and there's a ton of Wish merch from toys to books, nobody is buying them, they still cost the same exact money
