There was going to be another Tinker Bell film after the cancelled Tinker Academy and it would have connected the film series back to the original Peter Pan. It was going to be directed by Stephen Anderson and Dan Abraham.
Stephen Anderson wrote:Story room doodles from when the amazing Dan Abraham and I were directing a film with the working title ‘Tink Meets Peter.’ It would’ve been the last of the Pixie Hollow films and a prequel to Walt’s 1953 film. Unfortunately, its development coincided with the demise of the home video market and the studio pulled the plug. Overall, it was about how Peter came to Neverland, the genesis of his and Tink's relationship, how Peter cut off Hook's hand, etc. It was really neat! It was developed at Disney Toons in late 2014/early 2015. There was originally going to be another film after Never Beast and then ours.

Stephen Anderson wrote:Found some artwork for the 'Tink Meets Peter' (working title, btw) project, by the late, great John Howley. Peter was a street urchin in London who, after escaping the police in a small boat, is caught in a storm. As he's pulled under water, he glimpses a star in the sky (the second star to the right) and reaches out to it. We were inspired by the lyrics: 'The second star to the right, shines in the night so rare, and if it's Neverland you need, its light will lead you there.' This was a project from 2013 that myself and Dan Abraham (director of 'Once Upon a Studio') were developing. We only worked on it about 6-7 months before it was canceled.

Such a massive, massive shame.

I, and loads of others, would 100% have been here for two more films ! It's a clear win for Disney+ isn't it ? Have a Tink franchise on there, it would THRIVE I reckon.

Disney is reviving the Disney Fairies brand with another book series after The Never Girls.

Image
Tinker Bell makes a dazzling new debut in this exciting adventure series for middle grade readers! Disney Fairies was a breakout franchise which spawned six films and 60-chapter books. Our readers who grew up with the films and chapter book series are looking for ways to still engage with their favorite characters now that they are older. This is Book 1 of a trilogy.

Tinker Bell loves nothing more than solving a problem. For her, red buttons demand to be pushed, treasure maps need to be followed, and lost things ought to be found. So when a strange fairy crash lands in Pixie Hollow and leaves Tinker Bell two clues to find a mysterious necklace on the Mainland, she really doesn’t have a choice but to help. However, her journey takes an unexpected turn when she discovers a hidden city of fairies living below the streets of London. In this city called Bleakwatch, she'll meet the Flutterpunks, the most infamous band of trinket scavengers around. Helping her may just give them their biggest score yet. But when the Flutterpunks’ plan goes haywire, they’ll be forced to choose between a big payday or saving their new friend. When their adventure takes them inside the glittering Clockwork Capital, Tinker Bell and the Flutterpunks will uncover a villainous secret that threatens all the fairies in Bleakwatch. It turns out there’s more at stake than just finding a missing necklace, and it’ll be up to Tinker Bell to set things right. Luckily, that’s what tinker fairies do best!

In this thrilling sequel to Tinker Bell and the Lost City, the future looks bright for Bleakwatch, but a surprising enemy still lurks in the shadows—and it's up to Tinker Bell and her friends to save the city once more.

After returning a stolen necklace to Pixie Hollow, Tinker Bell thought her adventure was over. But when it’s revealed the necklace holds the key to unlocking the magical powers the Flutterpunks did not know they had, Tink finds herself back at the start of a new mystery! She’ll need to make a daring return to the Mainland to warn her new friends just how much danger they are in. Meanwhile, in Bleakwatch the Flutterpunks train with their newfound abilities under King Bartleby’s watchful eye. Quin is frustrated their talent still hasn’t manifested, and with the other Flutterpunks off exploring new interests, the former leader is left on their own. But when Quin uncovers a sinister plot to invade Pixie Hollow, they will need to come up with a plan—and fast. With Tinker Bell’s help, will the Flutterpunks be able to reunite and finally unmask the villainous fairy pulling the strings or will time run out for Bleakwatch?

Tinker Bell hasn’t had a meet and greet in Walt Disney World since the start of the pandemic. However, Tinker Bell still flies over the crowd during the Happily Ever After Fireworks show (safety precautions permitting).

Tinker Bell still meets in Disneyland at Pixie Hollow.

I tried to look it up and couldn’t find confirmation, but I suspect the meetable Tinker Bell only dates back to 2008 when the first Tinker Bell movie premiered. After all, prior to that, Walt Disney’s Tinker Bell never spoke!

Yes, because once again, one of their videos is purposefully misleading you. Ask yourself, if the character is “problematic,” why would they be axing her from only one US park, and not all of them? Isn’t California more “woke” than Florida? If that’s the case, why would you leave Tink in CA but not FL? And if the character has been blacklisted for being problematic in FL, why would you cancel their meet and greet in FL but not also their parade and fireworks appearances in FL? Only Disney would have access to the numbers, but I think it’s fair to guess that, in a single day, many, many more people saw Tinker Bell during the fireworks than queued to meet her at the Town Square Theatre. So if they are purposefully trying to hide “problematic” Tinker Bell, they are doing a bad job of it. Lastly, Tinker Bell was not the only character whose meet and greet never returned post-pandemic. For example, Baymax used to have a M&G in Epcot but no longer does. However, similar to Tink, he can still be met in California.

WDW Pro (and other sites that run clickbait Disney headlines) is spreading this BS because 4 years since Tink’s meet and greet closed, Disney has only recently removed the signage for her meet and greet in Magic Kingdom. That has nothing to do with any “agenda,” and everything to do with poor park maintenance. Speaking of, if this story were true, why didn’t WDW Pro run it four years ago when Tink’s M&G actually closed? Interesting their “insiders” only got the scoop when an old sign was removed…

Here’s WDWNT’s article about the signage, from 5/3: https://wdwnt.com/2024/05/tinker-bell-m ... c-kingdom/

Disney is not going to stop using Tinker Bell. She's an icon, one of the most recognizable characters of the company and her merchandise is very popular. They even built a new ride at Tokyo. They are not going to renounce her only because some people think that she's not a good reference.
Honestly I'm tired about people who only see bad things. It happens the same with Snow white and they want everybody to think like them.

Disney is releasing a novel about Queen Clarion.

Image
Brimming with magic and romance, a young fairy queen must form an unlikely alliance or risk an unspeakable danger destroying all she holds dear in this standalone YA novel from New York Times bestselling author Allison Saft.

It’s been centuries since a warm-season fairy in Pixie Hollow has crossed into the Winter Woods, and while most fear the legends of monsters lurking in the frozen lands, Clarion, can’t help being intrigued by Winter’s stoic beauty. But under the watchful eyes of the current monarch and the court's seasonal ministers, Clarion has little time to dwell on daydreams while the days to her coronation dwindle away. That is, until reports of a monster crossing from Winter into Spring make their way to the palace. Clarion sees defeating this threat as an opportunity to prove that she is worthy of her new role. But instead of finding a monster at the edge of Winter, she finds Milori, a young guardian of the Winter Woods. Together, they form an unlikely bond as they race to save their lands. But as their alliance warms to something more, they will discover there is a reason a warm-season fairy and a winter fairy must not be together. And the cost could be just as deadly as the monsters that prowl the Winter Woods.

Discover the origin of the sweeping, star-crossed romance between the queen of Pixie Hollow and the lord of the Winter Woods.

I don't use to like this books because I see them as fanfics edited by Disney but honestly this one looks really nice! All the stuff that expand Disney's Fairies universe are welcome!

I've been rewatching the films lately and I'm still loving them. Yesterday I saw The Pirate Fairy and my opinion is the weakest one.
I love the fact that they included more things to connect the films with Peter Pan's universe but at the same time I had the feelig that the plot is not well developed and that Zarina is not as good as other fairies. They made a great job with others character's personalities and Zarina looks plain and not so well developed. Yes, we know that she loves to experiment with pixie dust but everything happens really fast and without any kind of explanation.
I'll try to see the last film this weekend. I only saw this one once and it was really emotive so let's see what I think right now after many years without watching it.
I'll also try to buy the new book next month. Let's see if it's better than other Disney novels.

I finished Wings of starlight. It's great but I expected it to be more emotive. However is a great chance to come back to Pixie Hollow and to meet new characters from this world. It's easy to read if your first language is not English. I had some difficulties with some words that I didn't know but despite this I didn't have any other problems.
I would love them to make more books about Disney fairies. There are much things yet to explore!

Besides the two feature films, a holiday special from 2013 that would have featured a toddler Tiger Lily was also cancelled.

Honestly I don't understand why they have not make more stuff with this franchise. People love Disney fairies too much and there's nostalgia about them. They could have made a series of shorts for Disney+ instead of making stuff that nobody cares about.

The franchise has probably reached that stage of the nostalgia cycle where certain millennials would actually feel specific fondness toward the brand, which would surely justify some kind of presence.

Whoa, Tiger Lily was going to have a cameo? :o Well, it would`ve been nice if she was actually featured. But frankly, she looked off-models in the concept arts (but truth to be told, so did Wendy in the first Tinker Bell movie).
