You're right. Fingers crossed, though.

Re: The Legacy Collection
Bear in mind, these aren't being released exclusively to CD. You can stream the Aladdin Legacy Collection or buy it digitally as well. Despite the lack of promotion, I think sales are probably in line with what Disney expects (which is to say, hopes aren't terribly high). I don't believe they anticipate these (and the CD versions, especially) to break any profit records. In fact, the disc version seems to have only been produced as a "niche" collector's item, since it continues to only be available for purchase on Disney Music Emporium (like Hunchback). For what it's worth, Aladdin is currently out-of-stock (temporarily) over at DME, so demand seems to be keeping up with supply. Disney likely knows there's still a market for music and film buffs, but your average casual Disney fan sees the Legacy Collection and says "I've owned the Aladdin soundtrack for years, what's the difference?" These were never going to be a "mainstream" thing.
At this point, if the Legacy Collection ends here, I won't be surprised. But, strange as it may sound, if we receive a new installment within the next couple years... I ALSO won't be surprised. There's clearly still at least one person working at Disney who cares about the studio's legacy and fights for collector-friendly projects like these. And the higher-ups seem willing to throw them a bone when there's absolutely nothing else going on, which is how we got the new HD restorations of Cinderella and Snow White, the blu-ray set of Rescue Rangers, etc. It's a waiting game, which happens to be the least fun kind of game to play (and we're not getting any younger!).
I believe the biggest obstacle standing in their way right now is that, when the higher-ups at Walt Disney Records finally DO decide to throw the Legacy Collection crew another bone, which film do they pick? Back in 2022, there was a loud consensus among fans that Aladdin should be next, as it was the most popular (and most bankable) "classic" candidate still waiting in line for Legacy treatment. I haven't seen a new consensus emerge since then. Some people want Snow White. Some people want Hercules. But with the "Fab Four" of Mermaid/Beauty/Aladdin/Lion out of the way, it seems harder for everyone to rally behind a single choice. Obviously, it isn't our decision to make, but when the production team appeals to the higher-ups for funding, it's easier for them to convey the level of consumer demand when we're all clamoring for the same thing. I'm glad it's not my decision (if it was, we'd be getting The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh), but I'd love to know what they have in mind for their next proposal, if anything.

Re: The Legacy Collection
You're right, there does seem to be at least one person from Disney's various divisions willing to throw fans a bone when there's a light load and/or relevant reason to release something, like the Rescue Rangers movie for its Blu set or the 100th anniversary for Cinderella and Snow White's new restorations.
Personally, I still like the idea of a Nightmare Before Christmas release, but that would have made more sense in 2023 for its anniversary. If they're sticking to anniversary releases (which they don't always do, but more often than not is the case), maybe Tarzan? Princess and the Frog?

Re: The Legacy Collection
It's a shame they're not releasing anything this year. I think Disney gave up on this collection.

Re: The Legacy Collection
It's really hard to say with this line! There's no consistency to the release schedule.
2014: 4 titles
2015: 8 titles
2017: 1 title
2018: 1 title
2021: 1 title
2022: 1 title
As you can see there are sometimes long gaps of up to 3 years, but time and time again, Disney has shown us that they haven't given up on this line
I think it's worth sharing your feedback on this section of the Disney Music Emporium site! It says "We would like to hear from you! Please share your thoughts on the kind of products you'd like to see in the Disney Music Emporium Official Store."

+1 vote for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!
