Re: Tarzan on Broadway
Too bad, I was hoping this show might get a revival. It was such a huge hit in Germany after getting a revamp and I would have liked to have seen that come over into the US.

I hope Disney uses Shuler Hensley and Merle Dandridge as voices in some upcoming animated production !

Re: Tarzan on Broadway
Looking back through this thread, I was surprised I never made a comment already since I had bought the recording back in the day. I didn't think the music was as good as the movie's soundtrack, but I enjoyed it, personally. My favorite of the song additions were "Different," "For the First Time," and "Everything That I Am." Most of the others didn't really do a great deal for me; Jane's solo song was the only one I thought was horrible.
I was simultaneously sad and yet not surprised when the Broadway show wasn't very successful. Tarzan (the film) does have a great soundtrack, although translating them to a musical format was probably always going to be difficult. The music wasn't theatrical like with the other Disney films of the time.

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"
