The gown that Belle wears in the UK production was inspired by the gown that Queen Elizabeth worn in her coronation:

That dress looks lovely seeing it there. I still know it could be more historically accurate and better, though.

I saw the show a few weeks and I enjoyed it very much. The two things that I didn't like was some of the costumes (Belle's pink one is awful) and some of the backgrounds that looked like from a Disney On Ice show. I know that is a production made for a tour but We're talking about Disney and They could have made a better scenography. The cast is well chosen.Courtney was great as Belle but the Prince was not so good.

The production is right now in Australia. It is the same one than the UK and Ireland tour.

A behind-the-scenes special about the Australian production of the revival premiered on October 20, 2023 on Disney+ Australia/New Zealand. It's a shame they didn't make the special available anywhere else.

When will we ever see a Broadway revival??? :( :( :(

Honestly, what has always impressed me about the original production of BATB is the costumes and wigs. Which are unlikely to be recreated for a new production. If only to have a time machine to go back and see the original cast! I always loved Belle’s curly wig… I think they were deliberately riffing off of “Phantom” there…

A few months ago I bought a doll version of Belle in her Broadway ball gown from eBay. I’ll have to share pictures sometime.

Michael Eisner did say he wanted BatB on Broadway to be like Phantom of the Opera!

And yes, please share pictures!

This might be an indication the revival will finally be coming to Broadway.

It's a shame it's not coming back to Broadway. Disney hasn't had a third show on Broadway since Frozen closed.

I’m still questioning how Frozen didn’t stay on Broadway, given it’s based on Disney’s biggest animated moneymaker since The Lion King. :?
