What a cute, promotional video! :) It`s a pity that it didn`t include new clips from the movie.

After listening to the D23 audio of Ariana DeBose singing "This Wish" a few more times, I'm starting to really like it. The lyrics are nicely written, and I like that the music feels a tiny bit more distinct in comparison to the other "I Want songs" from the past few years. It's a song that really grows on you with a few more listens, and I suspect it might be the same for the other Julia Michaels and Benjamin Rice songs in the movie.

Also, that promo video was adorable! Can't wait for the theatrical trailer to come out soon, and with all these theater standees and other bits of marketing popping up, I'm very confident that the movie isn't going to be delayed at all.

I’m starting to have some faith it won’t. But I feel we must still be cautious and careful.

Hopefully tomorrow the first trailer with the re-release of Frozen in the U.S. and Snow White in the U.K. to celebrate the 100th anniversary.

Don't see it happening. The only other places I can see it dropping are next Thursday during the ESPN Women's Championship Quarterly Finals on ABC, on Monday August 14th, to mark 100 days until the big finale movie event of DIsney's 100th Anniversary, or during World Princess Week.

I think the theatrical trailer may come out sometime between late August through early September.

New books covers for Wish.
The Little Golden Book seems obviously illustrated by Joey Chou.

About the next trailer we can't wait to see, I also think it won't come before end of August - mid September.
Don't forget there will be the D23 Expo next beginning of September!

It's actually Destination D23 in Orlando, Florida.

I love the image you posted, Sotiris, with all the little poses of Asha and Star. Is the bottom left picture the exact same one we've seen in the past of the same pose or is that a finished film / 3D version of that artwork, it's hard to tell?

I like how the film has this sort of counter of Asha with the star versus Magnifico with the dream orb. I notice the upper left image of her, she's wearing something on her belt. I suppose it's a badge or something for when she's working for Magnifico (before he fires her)? But then I thought she was fired before she meets Star from the gist of the story we've heard. The clipart of Magnifico makes me excited to hear his song.

Are you referring to the Little Golden Book? Personally, I hate that simplistic and child-like illustration style that is often found in storybooks nowadays. I much prefer the more detailed, Disney house style for storybooks that resembles the actual look of the film like the one for used for the "Welcome to Rosas!" book.

Agreed. I don`t like that style either. I find it to be too pedestrian and ordinary.

I really like Joey Chou’s work for Disney. I have some glasses with his designs. Very Mary Blair-esque.

Sorry for my comment. I really hope that you don`t think that I was trashing the style.

You have nothing to apologize for, DisneyFan09! You merely stated your opinion. You and I just happen to have different views.

Yes, I was talking about the little golden book. In my opinión the art of these books is perfect for the childrens that are starting to read books. Is more simple than other Disney's storybook but that's the idea. I recomend you a book of the story of little golden books by Charles Solomon. It's very great.

I don't know. As a child I remember not liking those simple and crude drawings and preferred the more detailed and naturalistic ones. Those were the ones that impressed me and sparked my imagination. It's sad that children's publishing has been overtaken by this simplistic style. Just because the target audience is kids doesn't mean that everything needs to look round and rudimentary. Artists working in illustration are to blame for that too. A lot of them adopt this style because it requires less time and skill to replicate. In any case, I think the industry is doing children a disservice by not exposing them to different art styles and more intricate art.
