Well, it was a better teaser than the one for Mermaid. I liked the costumes, the effects and the set designs, yet I wonder if this movie could`ve benefited from a Theatrical release. I liked that Pip talked here in this teaser (if it was Pip), as the "mute, real-life" Pip was one of the shortcomings of the original film. The character made of papers with glasses was endearing and funny, as was Giselle`s "terribly wrong or terribly right"-comment. I also liked the short part with the hand drawn animation, despite how it was unfortunately too short (cause the hand drawn animation was my selling point to see the first film in the first place) and the shot with the magic mirror. As for the poster, I liked it too, despite how I find the tagline hokey and hackneyed.

^ *Pip, not Chip. I wonder if it's him, too. I'm still disturbed that Giselle is Morgan's evil stepmother. She pushed her down a well!! I know deep down she's not mean... Giselle is one of my favorite characters so I was shocked at her behavior.. So beyond excited for this!
I don't like the poster. It's too growded. I'm not sure how I feel about the storyline and specifically about Giselle turning evil, but the trailer was well-made and it made me excited for the film. I'm also looking forward to seeing the 2D animation, but I'm still worried about the quality and whether it will match the original's.
Idina Menzel doesn't look good with bangs. They should have kept the same hairstyle the character had in the original.
That trailer made me so excited for this!!! Amy Adams is acting the hell out of her character, with a new evil stepmother side the script writers wonderfully gave her! I loved everything, except that the magic mirror has an almost identical look to the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs one. I just thought they'd do a slightly different take (besides just changing some red stones to blue) since I didn't think the Disney movies existed in this world. Oh well, amazing trailer! And I love the poster! I always love when they put a lot on a poster. More to look at!

I like the poster, personally... I like that Giselle is "turning evil," clearly satirizing how every older woman in a fairy tale is evil. She hit 40, she can no longer be "good."
Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"

It's actually satirizing the trope of stepmothers always being evil in fairy tales. Her wish to make the real world like a fairy tale backfired and because she's a stepmom to Morgan, she has to be evil now.
Call me crazy... but I think it looks really good. A couple of shots seemed a little TOO colorful, bordering on garish... but they were very few. Overall, it looked great. And I think there is a seriously good chance this might be well written.
Is it weird that it is the ONLY upcoming Disney movie I am excited about right now? (I have some issues with Hocus Pocus 2... but will still watch it).
I'm kinda disappointed Disenchanted won't go to theaters.
I agree on what's been said: Idina Menzel's bangs... no no.
I agree, Marce82, that trailer was good and I'm really looking forward to this film, it seems that they are faithful to the spirit and themes of the original. I don't mind that it's not coming out in theaters, but it's a shame that it'll never get a physical release.
I plan to watch the original on Thursday night or Friday morning in preparation for this one.
I never cared about Hocus Pocus, but I am a little bit interested in Pixar's Elemental, now that we know that it's a love story, and seems like a forbidden one as well, and a little bit interested in Disney's Wish, which is honestly more of the same and it really depends on the execution.
Just one note: Disenchanted may still get a physical release. Many direct to Disney+ movies still get blu ray releases... Turning Red is definitely available on blu ray and 4K.
I sure hope Disenchanted gets one! Heck... I'm still hopefully for a proper blu ray of the original... hahah
This one looks like it's gonna be a lot of fun. Can't wait to see how the animated segments will be. That (very) short shot in the trailer looked nice.
I haven't been this excited about a Disney movie since The Princess and the Frog. This isn't to say I didn't love/enjoy some movies that were released since, but pre-release marketing and trailers for those movies never captured me or sparked my interest like PatF's did.
However, given Disney's track record with recent live-action films AND sequels, I'm keeping my expectations at bay and hope not to be disappointed.
Also, I know the role has been recast, but if I didn't, I'd never guess Morgan was played by a different actress. The actress looks quite like what Rachel Covey's Morgan would have grown up to look like.
