I'll need to keep an eye on the Disney Channel around when the third season debuts on Disney+, because I'm hoping they'll repeat what they did before and air the second season to help advertise the new, third season's arrival on Disney+.

I hope they do Frozen. I'd like to hear Olivia Rodrigo's take on some of those songs. It's too bad Glee and Lea Michele / Naya Rivera / Darren Criss hadn't been able to take on Disney songs.

Deadline.com is reporting that, in addition to the casting of several Disney Channel alumni (including HSM series star Corbin Bleu as himself), Season 3 of HSM: TM: TS will feature songs from not just the High School Musical films, but (in keeping with the summer camp setting) the "Camp Rock" films and (as the characters are doing a stage adaptation of it) "Frozen."

I watched the whole D23 TV panel so I don't know if they announced this during online but not actually during the presentation...? But the HSMTMTS cast perfomed both "Love Is An Open Door" from S3 and the HSM3 song "High School Musical," so I wondered what that was about. Recently on social media, Zac and Vanessa, separately of course, posted current pictures in front of East High...not like they're filming S4 yet, but I wonder. I can absolutely imagine Corbin and Lucas and Kaycee coming back for more HSMTMTS, but I wonder who else will partake and in what capacy.

I haven't posted my thoughts after each S3 episode, but I have been loving it. I read an interview with Tim Federele (sp?) and he said that I believe it was Tom Schumacher is his mentor, so he has access to Disney Theatrical material (hence the Broadway lyrics for Frozen songs in S3). That's really my only complaints with S3, that they're usingFrozen songs from Broadway instead of the animated film.

I wonder how much we will see of the new S3 camp cast members during S4.
