Re: The Black Cauldron special edition?
BY THE GODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Disney, PROPER, Disney that is released a line of collectible figures titled DISNEY REWIND POPCORN MYSTERY FIGURES and they made a Taran figure!!!! Not even Gurgi for being the "cute mascot" , or Eilonwy "for being a princess", or the Black Cauldron itself (as it seems that´s as far as they´d go to acknowledge the movie. No. A Taran figure. How is this possible?

PS
There´s even Quasimodo and Bolt in there as well. Still, for as few as there is of Bolt and even less of Quasimodo that´s just Disney being Disney just keeping on with their most popular movies. But, as we all know, The Black Cauldron is the movie Disney pretends it doesn´t exist. So that´s what amazes me.
Yes, in the past Funko released a Taran and Horned King figures but that was Funko. Prior to that, the only other time I remember merchandise of TBC is from a Disney Villains poster that includes The Horned King and who can tell how old that is.

He called him "Wart.".
But, super duper cool that they included Taran in that line (I've never heard of this toy line before) and it's also cool that they included Quasimodo + Bolt!!! But they're mystery toys so the best bet might be buying it already open on eBay?
Besides merch when the film came out: I believe it was in 2000, Gurgi had a McDonald's Happy Meal toy (they did a LOT of characters on top of replica little VHS cases). There have been TBC pins over the years, and the Pops you mentioned, and the Horned King is in the Villainous game. I think there was something else but my brain is fried as I'm in bed.
Very cool, though- thank you for sharing!!

So, they did these collectibles before and they had also: Merlin, Robin Hood, Kida, Dodger and Bianca.
Wao, so Disney really went after forgotten movies. However, again, as incredible as it is that those characters that don´t get any love for Disney have figures it still beyond unbelievable that they did a Taran one. And, not only that, the figures are really big and the display is really nice as well.
PS
Yes, you´re better just buying it opened. Originally, the first 2 series were $8.99 which is also unbelievable for the quality and size. I´m sure the new one has a higher price. No matter, just go for sure since that´s the character you´re interested in.

Nice, I didn't know that they did a wave with Taran!
I got two of these from the first wave, and got Dodger and Jiminy Cricket. I was hoping to get more, as well as some from the second wave, but then the Disney Stores near me closed down...
