Typically Disney to NOT release a very popular show on DVD, other than through an obscure 'Club' almost nobody outside the die-hard fanbase know of... like they did with the very limited Disney Treasure. And I bet they'll never release seasons 3 and 4... just like they did with the Disney Afternoon shows. I'm surprised that Company is still alive, the way they fail to exploit their animated catalogue.

Blunt, but I have to agree.

I'm still grumpy that even when they did release the TDA shows, it was almost like a big secret that unless you happen to run into, you'd never know they were out. My lintel tells me that Disney stopping releasing them becuase their numbers didn't sell enough.

I never saw a single ad for any Disney Afternoon shows unless it was inside another Disney Afternoon show. I buy a LOT of Disney DVD's, but never came across ANYTHING saying that they were out. They managed to advertise the most obscure titles that isn't even their stuff but couldn't place a 30 second spot on a copy of "Cinderella," or "Bambi 2?" Most folks I've run across that loved these shows and would own them if they could, didn't even know they were out. How are they suppose to sell the numbers Disney expects when it's almost like Disney doesn't WANT them to sell? I just don't get it!

fucking dumb.

couldn't find any of them on Amazon either.
But... you're on a Disney DVD fan site, which I'm assuming means that you buy a fair amount of Disney DVDs. Surely you can find 5 other DVDs on there that you're interested in? It seems as if you haven't even glanced at the website to see what it's all about.

A lot of people online in different forums seem to think that "clubs" are somehow out to get them or something. I don't understand it. The only way that clubs "get you" is by guaranteeing that you'll buy something from them in the future. And in this case you'd be buying those Disney DVDs in the future anyways. What's the harm in taking advantage of a good deal?

+1000!!!

Disney is sitting on a GOLDMINE with their old series, yet they don't do anything to exploit it. Why do they care so much for their past feature films and forget completly their past series? (which were VERY popular too!!) As you mentioned, adding a little ad on the other DVDs wouldn't have cost them anything...
Wouldn't it have been obvious to include an ad (or even an episode!) of Talespin on the Jungle Book DVD, considering they were released around the same time? But no, they didn't.

Of course, you could say "we are Disney fans so it's obvious we would want that. But would the general crowd would?" Well the answer is : YES!!! There were millions of people watching the Disney Afternoon shows and enjoying them. They always get very positive reviews from everyone on the web, who remembers them fondly.

Seeing this Kim Possible release, and even though I don't appreciate this show as much as their Disney Afternoon shows, it seems they are doing the same mistake again.

I only hope that the success of Darkwing Duck comics (and probably Rescue Rangers soon) will help them reconsider these properties...

I joined this forum because I like Disney stuff in general. Not just dvds. if you notice I hardly ever talk about picture quality, ratio aspect and all the other technical crap, that everyone and their mom talk about here. I may like disney but I don't go and buy every disney thing I see like Reyquila does.

First of all, owning Disney DVDs has nothing (or doesn't have to, at least) to do with all that technical crap. And I never made any sort of claim that the club is only good if you buy every single release possible.

Let me ask you this: in the past year, have you bought any Disney DVDs? Because if so, the club presents a good deal for you. End of story.

I am anxiously awaiting my copies of Season 1 & 2.

FYI, in what may help sales a little, I noticed that the DMC mailing this time did have Kim Possible Season 1 shown on the back of the main envelope along with some other titles.

So, people who don't frequent forums or go searching for random titles on the DMC website will still have a change to know that they came out.

Here's hoping for Seasons 3 & 4!!!

I got my copies of Season 1 & 2 in the mail yesterday and started watching through Season 1 last night. It holds up great!

I never actually had cable while this was on, so the only episodes I ever saw were the previous DVDs so there's 40 something episodes between these 2 seasons that I've never seen. Yay!

I never realized that several of the voice actors also did (and still do) Futurama. Great comedy delivery!

REALLY REALLY hope they release Seasons 3 & 4.

Anybody that's on the fence about these, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE buy them to show interest so that maybe they'll release the other two seasons.

On a related note, maybe it some of these do well, they'll release that final volume of DuckTales as a DMC exclusive...

maybe if the DMC exclusive sell well, they'll consider releasing them for EVERYONE.....

You can buy individual episodes on iTunes (I bought the Christmas special from iTunes) but that'd get expensive to buy them ALL that way.
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.

Are there any extras on these volumes?

A bundle of Kim Possible Seasons 1 and 2 is now available on Disney Movie Rewards for 1750 points. I just redeemed it, and it should arrive in 6-8 weeks.

My copies came in the mail yesterday. I've only tried one disc, but it works so far. It's unfortunate that these episodes are in fullscreen instead of widescreen and that there are no extras, but it's good to have this show on a professional DVD.

I noticed a soundtrack change on one episode. When I watched "Kimitation Nation" on TV, the theme song played under the sequence of KP stopping Drakken's blimp. On this DVD, the song has been replaced with general action music. I haven't watched many of the other episodes yet, so I don't know if any other songs (like in "All the News") have been replaced.

Again, nice to have this show on DVD. Now if Disney could release the other two seasons (and include some commentaries for Pete's sake).

No offense to her, she seemed nice when she was hosting The Voice, but I don't know any other song by her.

"AM to PM" was her first single (2001 I believe w/o looking it up), but the album never came out in the US. Her 2nd album, first full release in the US, has the lead single "Dip It Low."

"Call Me, Beep Me" is right up there with the Disney Afternoon theme songs as far as catchiness goes IMO.
