Paul Briggs has left WDAS after 25 years. He first joined the studio in 1996 as an effects animator and transitioned to storyboarding in 2006. He worked as a story artist on The Princess and the Frog, Tangled, and Winnie the Pooh and was promoted to head of story for Frozen and Big Hero 6. His directorial debut was supposed to come with Raya and the Last Dragon, but due to a change in creative direction, he was demoted to co-director (aka assistant director). He is now working at Netflix Animation as a director.
