I just can't keep all the movies' changing dates straight, but the article that you posted above says this comes out July 30, 2021 (which it says a page ago in this thread), and the Movies Anywhere page for this film says October 15, 2021: https://moviesanywhere.com/movie/jungle-cruise

Has Disney forgotten about this film?

^It was also part of the presentation, though they mentioned it just briefly. It seems for now it's still getting a theatrical release. Here's the synopsis they released yesterday:
Jungle Cruise takes audiences on a rollicking thrill-ride down the Amazon with wisecracking skipper Frank Wolff and intrepid researcher Dr. Lily Houghton. Jaume Collet-Serra directs the film, which stars Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Edgar Ramirez, Jack Whitehall, with Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti. Disney’s Jungle Cruise is slated for July 2021.

I don't think it was ever posted, but in the book about Dwayne Johnson which was released in September last year, it was revealed 'Jungle Cruise' will include a song written by Kristen Anderson Lopez and Robert Lopez. His character plays the guitar in the newest trailer. So, it's safe to guess it will be sung by him.

No, just who had written it.

I'm imagining they'll release yet another trailer next month.

I'm curious to listen to the song. While you're probably right and Dwayne Johnson will be the one singing it, I'd rather have Emily Blunt do it. It'll be a shame to waste a Lopez song on The Rock.

Aside from the Frozen franchise, the only things the Lopezes have done for Disney have been a one-off song for Coco and now a one-off for this, unfortunately. I've wanted them to do another film for Disney, and I've been wondering why they haven't been allowed to (I understand Gigantic fell through, but there have to be other projects coming). If anything, Miranda's been stretched across more projects at Disney in a shorter time frame with Moana, Encanto, TLM-LA. Which is strange, because Frozen's soundtrack drew much more attention than Moana's. I really wish they had been involved with TLM-LA instead. I know there were several times throughout the Tangled TV series that it seemed as if Menken was trying to imitate the Lopezes' style; it would've been fun if they had then collaborated.

They recently wrote the songs for Marvel's WandaVision. Disney is clearly appreciating and promoting them. And if the rumors are true, they have another musical set up at WDAS (besides the inevitable Frozen 3, that is). Anyway, since you brought it up, I thought it would be interesting to list all of the Disney projects they've been involved with so far.

Robert Lopez & Kristen Anderson-Lopez

Bear in the Big Blue House (three songs)
Finding Nemo: The Musical
Winnie the Pooh
Frozen
The Making of Frozen
Frozen Fever
Frozen: The Musical
Frozen II
At Home with Olaf
Frozen III
Frozen IV
Wreck-It Ralph (a song for King Candy that was cut)
Jungle Cruise (a song that was cut)
Coco (wrote 5-6 songs but only one survived)
WandaVision
Agatha All Along
Up Here
The Princess Bride: The Musical
The Comedians (one song)
The 87th Academy Awards (one song)
Central Park (one song)
Gigantic (shelved)
Muppets Live Another Day (shelved; wrote four songs for the pilot)
Bob: The Musical (shelved)

Robert Lopez (without Kristen)

Bear in the Big Blue House (one song)
Scrubs: My Musical
Phineas and Ferb (two songs; one of which is a parody of "A Whole New World")
The Simpsons (one song)
Kermit: Prince of Denmark (shelved)

Oh, yes, I forgot they had been involved with Winnie the Pooh. I tend to bleach that film from my brain mostly because all of the new character voices I didn't like very much.

I get that the film mostly takes place in the jungle, but does that mean its entire color scheme has to be limited to green, yellow, and brown? All the posters for this look so dreary and earthy. Also, the leopard behind them looks really fake, almost like a plush toy.

Wow, they've been involved with more Disney projects than I thought! I didn't know they had written songs for Bear in the Big Blue House, The Comedians or Wreck-It Ralph, for example, and I had forgotten about that song from The Making of Frozen or the one they wrote for the Academy Awards. I guess they're more or less on par with Lin-Manuel Miranda (if they haven't worked on more projects than him).

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the Lopezes, but I recognize they're quite talented. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I think my favorite of their works for Disney is Winnie the Pooh. Frozen's songs are superior in many ways, but I find their work on Pooh more charming and cohesive. I really liked some of their songs for WandaVision too. That show restored my faith in them a bit.

I have been loving what the Lopezes are writing for Disney and I hope they continue to be hired. Although I thought Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman did wonderful work on Mary Poppins Returns, so it would be nice to see them also contribute more to Disney productions in the future.
