Most of those are pretty good, but for me, you can't beat the 4K UHD cover- it's action-packed, like the film! The ironing and washing machine ones are pretty unique and neat.

I agree about the 4K's cover. The Target exclusive is nice as well.

Re: Comparing Home Releases Cover Arts
Nobody would want to do other covers, would they? Like maybe some non-Disney animated films (Don Bluth, Ghibli, etc.) or perhaps even DTV sequels, remakes, a few of the live-action Disney films (Mary Poppins, Bedknobs, PotC, those kinds of well-known ones), and so on? I dunno, this was fun and I miss it in a way. I would've participated in ranking the PIXAR films, but I just don't care for the majority of them and I disliked most of their covers because of how basic they tend to be.

I don't mind taking charge and making a collection of covers... I have an issue where I don't know how to post pictures these days without just posting the link...I don't know how to just make the picture show...

Re: Comparing Home Releases Cover Arts
Sorry, it's my fault we haven't continued with the covers. I used to send farerb the international ones and I stopped doing it. I'll continue with that next week. There are only three Pixar films left. After that, we can compare other covers like you suggest, Disney's Divinity. I think farerb mentioned the live-action/animation hybrids as one of the possibilities, so maybe we could do that next. Or one of the other ideas you mentioned. We'll see what farerb says.
Re: Comparing Home Releases Cover Arts
Thank you, D82, you're very kind
We can continue Pixar and then do whatever people want.
By the way I never intended this thread to be "my thread" so if anyone else wants to post the covers that's completely fine.

@D82: Oh, no, I wasn't blaming anyone. I figured it stopped because there wasn't much activity during the PIXAR covers.

Re: Comparing Home Releases Cover Arts
We could continue comparing the covers of the DTV sequels.
Then, the live action ones, the remakes, and so on.
I will continue posting unused art, if I find any

Re: Comparing Home Releases Cover Arts
I found these artworks for Sleeping Beauty on Heritage Auctions. They weren't created for a home video release. but for storybooks, and they were drawn by Ron Dias. They all depict the spinning wheel scene in the movie. These two have the characters drawn differently from the movie.

Personally, I'm not too crazy about the poses. I don't like that Aurora doesn't have that hypnotised look in her eyes, like in the final movie.
And then, there's this third one, which I like a lot better, even though they forgot to draw her necklace. I think it looks much better to have her alone with the spinning wheel, than with Maleficent. What do you guys think?

Yes, I totally agree about her hypnotized look being much better. Wow with her w/o a necklace, but the last picture is my favorite as well. Did this storybook every come out, do you know?

Re: Comparing Home Releases Cover Arts
I agree that it's better without Maleficent present. It looks a bit goofy with her standing there as if she's talking to Aurora. Aurora being hypnotized is the best scene in the film really. The only other one that competes with it is the coronation scene, imo.

Re: Comparing Home Releases Cover Arts
Little Golden Books have the best artwork; I'm not surprised. I know that once in a blue moon, alternate artwork is posted on here, but there must be SO MUCH unused artwork, for books, for DVD cases, etc, that we'll never get to see!

Re: Comparing Home Releases Cover Arts
Disney Duster will surely appreciate this. I was browsing through Heritage Auctions, and I found this drawing of one of my favorite Cinderella covers, again by Ron Dias.
