Cinderella III: A Twist in Time DVD Press Release/Discussion

Are you guys serious? TLM II was horrible because Ariel was old? That's rather sickening.

You must've hated the three good fairies in Sleeping Beauty, and Sophie in Howl's Moving Castle. Is it really bad to see your hero age?

Anyhow I read somewhere that Ariel must be logically 42 or something years old. It doesn't sound right, but does anyone know what age exactly she should be by the end of TLM II?

Ariel was, I believe, sixteen years old in the original "Little Mermaid". I would imagine that in the second movie she'd be in her mid-twenties or approaching 30.

Sorry for bringing back the dead ( ) but I saw "Cinderella III" yesterday and noticed something very funny.

In the scene in which the Stepsisters have a food fight, they make a BIG mess and destroy the giant cake in the middle of the room. When Prince Charming and The King step in you can see for a brief second the Prince slipping on the frosting, then looking at his shoes.

I know its a very small detail, but I thought that they added a cute and funny touch to the scene. Not to mention that it adds a bit of humanity to the Prince because its ALWAYS expected for the comic relief character to slip and fall while the "cool" characters keep standing.

Oh, and the movie is still good .

And something that bothers me about the film-Where were the other birds? and the mice? and Bruno? and Major? this film only had 2 birds and Jaq and Gus,that's all she had in this movie from the million of mice and birds she had in the film.

yeah this movie was great for finally expanding Charming's character. If only "The Prince" was given such an opportunity.

Disney hasn't messed with their most prestigious film yet. Aside from the countless Snow White clip-art, they've been quite respectful to Walt's masterpiece.

SO IF THEY DID MAKE A SEQUEL, I'm sure they'd pay it the greatest of attention rather than give to to some newb movie director like Peggy Holmes who just does didn't understand what The Little Mermaid was about at all, as evident through Jodi Benson's interviews.

But my 10 year old sister said she DID like it better than the original, so maybe she did well in making a film directed solely for children. And this is my sister who has seen ALL the disney feature films from snow white to MTR, except for Saludos Amigos and bits of Fantasia.

I wish the film was made for a theatre release a la Return To Neverland.I mean,with a bigger budget and some small changes, it could have been a true classic that would have erased the first sequel from our minds...

The only thing that bothers me in A Twist In Time is how much they make a big deal out of the whole touching of the hands thing as it is supposed to reveal your one true love. However, in the original the prince never touched Cinderella's hands. She was wearing gloves the entire time she was at the ball, even when she touched the water from the fountain during "So This Is Love" so it doesn't add up with the third film. I wouldn't make a big deal out of it if the screen writers didn't make out of big deal of it haha.

I'm sorry but I didn't find any of the jokes here funny at all. It's clearly aimed for children, and that's fine since that's what the DTVs were all about, but it's just not my thing. The original had a subtle humor with the mice and lucifer and some with the stepsisters, but accidentally hitting your sister with a flute or accidentally standing on your dress is not the same as over the top clumsiness all around.
