But why not? This isn't Academia Hour With Jessica & Nick. They are both phenomenally talented vocal artists. And I wouldn't sell out Jessica's intelligence just yet- she's smart enough to know that acting dumb makes her big bucks.

I have no idea who this couple are. And I don't think I want to.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

I'm sure there are going to be people on this board that are going to bash them, and/or already are, but they are not that bad. Personally I am happy they are doing their own version, and I hope it will be different from the RB version that is already out there.2099net wrote:What, like an old boiler?awallaceunc wrote:She's gotten hotter and hotter and hotter...

2099net - have you ever heard the song True to your Heart from Mulan? I believe that it plays during the credits. Nick Lachey's old group (98 degrees) sings that song.
Anyway, regardless of what one might think of them as people, the fact is that they talented performers...

I will say that as happy as I am to hear a cover by them (Jessica is also famous for a few other excelletn covers, including "Take My Breath Away," "Angels," "Part Of Your World" on Disney Mania, and her first song "I Think I'm In Love" sampled John Cougar Mellencamp), I am sad that we won't be seeing the Disney Channel Circle of Stars music video.

I've gotta say their cover of any song has got to be better than some of the other groups we've had thrust at us on various disney dvds...A*Teens, Jump 5 anyone?
Nick and Jessica, despite their faults, have both been able to crack the top 10 on the sales charts, which is more than we can say for a lot of the new disney channel group clones (although the Newlyweds are themselves products of the mouse house, I do believe)
Anyways, at least the original song is in the movie still, unlike Lucas's violent stabs to re-edit the formerly great Star Wars empire...

And I think its cute that these two are doing a cover of a Whole New world I think they are a great couple so I am sure the song will be just as good since it will actually be felt. Thats just my opinion

No, they're really not. Walk into a night cafe at any large metropiltan city with an art scene, and you'll realize that there are tons of people with equal/better vocal prowess.
I think we need to get out of the attitue of "Oh, they can sing, that makes them an artist." Not really. There's so many factors that contribute to the title of "artist." As for being performers, there are other acts I would pay $50 dollars a concert ticket to see. Neither can hold a crowd or move them, I know from first hand.
I am personally dissapointed that Nick, Jessica, and Clay are going to be on my favorite animated classic. Personally, I don't care for the original covers of Disney songs either. I mean, why not release the actual songs from the movie to radio? Sure, they're more Broadway than pop, but I think they capture the true essense of their representative movies. If Disney absolutely has to get acts to cover their songs, why not go totally out there? I'll pay $20 bucks just for a tripped out duet of Bjork and Radiohead's Thom Yorke. How about a dance techno beat from Moby? Coldplay, Starsailer, or maybe a rocked out Alanis Morissette cover anyone?

On an interesting side note, he recently went broke (sometime last year I think). He even had to auction off both Grammy Awards for "Beauty and the Beast" and "A Whole New World." Sucks for him, but I bet they made someone very happy.Joe Carioca wrote:Yep, and he is called Peabo Bryson.Kram Nebuer wrote:Just wondering...
