So. Many. Covers. I like the ones with a whole bunch of characters on them-- I think this film has some fun characters...
In the UK (and other English-speaking countries where it was named "Zootropolis," did they re-dub every time someone says "Zootopia," or in the film do they call it "Zootopia?" (Obviously in the non-English dubs they'd have used whatever city they ended up calling it, right?)

I actually liked most of these and the BH6 covers, simplistic as they are. At least Nick's and Judy's expressions don't feel unlike the characters like with Rapunzel, Anna and Elsa on a lot of the Tangled and Frozen posters.
Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"
First off, I am baffled... BAFFLED... given that Disney Duster hasn't chimed in with his thoughts on these.
I really love Zootopia, I think it's a brilliant film. Luckily, most of the covers look really good... they seem to range from "ok" to "great"... none look actually bad. Yay Zootopia! I won't do all the covers, cause it's too many, and some of them are just character clip art.
1) Blu ray Japan: Very surprised to be putting this one so high. Good poses, nice reflection of the plot based on the characters' placement and attitudes. Shows off some of the city... I don't love the side characters coming out of the .... SIDES.... (no pun)... but it kinda works for this one, cause we get Judy and Nick center stage.
2) Filmarena Czech Rep Slip1: Oh.... beautiful. But, I admit, only for collectors. No characters shown, which is rare. And it shows off the gorgeous design of the city.
3) Blu ray: It's an ok cover. It's a few too many characters for my taste, specially since some of them have very small parts. Do they really need to be there to clutter up the cover? I also feel Judy gets a little lots in the crowd... too much blue and grey.
4) Dvd: this one is good. Nice poses, we get a glimpse of the city... though the city design of Zootopia is really interesting, and here it doesn't really reflect that. But it's an ok cover.
5) 3D Blu Japan: tough to place this one... doesn't reflect the plot/tone of the movie well, but I loooove that they show off some of the more interesting buildings in the city. Not the best, but among the prettier ones.
6) KimichiDVD Slipcover1: Oh... this one is interesting. Its a cluster of characters, but a small one... and they are all important characters. It's focused, you can see more of the city. My only issue here is that Judy gets lost in all that blue... and it makes it seem like Nick is the lead character.
7) Filmarena Czech Rep Slip2: I was tempted to put this one higher, but it makes it feel like it is only HER movie. That said, it's a nice pose, it suggests a major part of the storyline, there is no clutter, shows off some of the city... very well done.
8 ) Blu Ray 3D: Again... too many characters. And laid out in a very peculiar fashion. And who is that giraffe??? At least we get a good view of the city. I do like that.
9) BluFans China: it's very cool looking cover, but I think it really misrepresents the plot of the film!
10) Target Blu ray (both): ok.... this one bothers me. Why are Judy's eyes uneven? they are NOT looking in the same direction!!! Disney has had a tendency lately to make their characters mildly cross-eyed... which works for some shots, but not others (usually works well if they are looking at something very close to their face). But in CG animation, there is usually one control for both eyes, and that means they can look very wonky, depending on where the character is looking. This issue is particularly bad in Tangled... I suspect the same thing here. Eye issue aside... the layout here is very uneven, heavily crowded on one corner, and then nothing elsewhere... And a selfie? Seriously? Lame, dated... is it even a joke?
11) Zaavi steelbook UK: Um... just a lop-sided crowd shot. Woo hoo. Who came up w this one???
12) Blu ray Korea: Literally, just clutter. Not only that, but it looks like it's been poorly Photoshopped.
Don't worry Marce82, I just didn't get here yet. I like the covers that have the "lopsided" characters on one side of the street, the whole point is to show all the characters you can find in a city all for animals. Anyway, I think this is one of Disney's best ever films.

16. Filmarena Exclusive Slipcover 2 (Czech Republic) - I agree, it shows the city, but it makes it look like it's her movie alone.
17. Filmarena Exclusive Box Set (Czech Republic) - I just love Judy's pose and expression!
18. DVD (Korea)
19. Blu-ray (Germany)
20. 3D Blu-ray (Germany)

1. Zavvi/Best Buy/Korean Steelbook - Beautiful, just like those teaser posters from the 90's. I have a slight preference to Zavvi because it doesn't have the title (understandably cause they sell to all of Europe and some countries have this movie with the title Vaiana). Korean Steelbook is the same, those markings are a slipcover for the Steelbook.
2. MovieNEX Box Set (Japan) - That cover on the box set is the back covers of the steelbook, which is also beautiful. I really like the sense of atmosphere that these covers have.
3. Blu-ray (Japan) - Beautiful background and I like that Moana gets the entire focus and Maui is just up there in the sky. It's kind of refreshing.
4. DVD (Korea) - Another beautiful background.
5. 3D Blu-ray - Same background as above but I like Moana's expression here less than the one above.
6. Blu-ray - Good background and the characters are nice as well.
7. KimchiDVD Exclusive Slipcover (Korea) - The background is more simple than the others and Moana's pose here is weird and the title is hiding Maui's hook (unlike the Blu-ray where the hook compliments it).
8. Target Digibook - Same pose as the Blu-ray, but basically the entire background is just the ocean, which isn't is beautiful as the others above.
9. Blu-ray (Mexico) - I like Moana's pose in the US Blu-ray more. The high-five here feels a little bit awkward.
10. DVD - Not bad, but feels kind of like Moana is sidelined as if the movie is about Maui.
11. 4K Steelbook - that white background reminds me of those white Signature Collection titles, ehich I'm not a fan. I don't get why suddenly Disney decided that they don't like backgrounds anymore. These are animated films, they should be represented that way with colorful and beautiful backgrounds, not this.
12. Heroes Cover (France) - I like that shade of blue and I'm fine with Moana's pose, but I don't like the lack of background.
13. Filmarena Exclusive Box Set (Czech Republic) - I don't like the poses and once again barely a background.
14. 4K UHD - The final cover that looks like this (unless they plan to do the same with future 4K releases). I will say that this one is not as bad as the others because that blue could be "the Ocean" but why couldn't the just give it more texture and then we could have something more similar to the Target digibook.
15. Heroes Cover (UK) - Characters are fine but again no background.
16. Disney Princess Cover (Australia) - Another coloring book.

This movie got pretty good or really good covers, with very few awful ones.
Here's my ranking for Moana. As always, I made my ranking before reading the comments from others, but now I see it has several things in common with farerb's. It seems we had similar opinions this time. I also agree with Disney Duster that this movie has many good covers.
1. Zavvi Steelbook/Best Buy Exclusive Steelbook: I love this image, which was also the teaser poster for the movie. It's beautiful and mysterious, and emphasizes the adventure aspect of the movie. 2. MovieNEX Box Set (Japan): I think this one was the teaser poster for France. It's beautiful too and the tattoos on the water are a cool idea. 3. 3D Blu-ray 4. DVD (Korea): Personally, I prefer Moana's expression in the 3D Blu-ray, that's why I ranked it higher. 5. Blu-ray (Japan) 6. Blu-ray 7. Blu-ray (Mexico) 8. 4K Best Buy Exclusive Steelbook 9. KimchiDVD Exclusive Slipcover (Korea) 10. DVD: It's not bad, but I haven't ranked it higher for the same reason as farerb; it gives the impression Maui is the protagonist instead of Moana. 11. Target Exclusive Digibook 12. Steelbook (Korea): The idea of the tattoos is not bad, but they could've been selected better. I particularly dislike Mini Maui's position there in the middle which creates a double Maui with the real one who's just below him. 13. Filmarena Exclusive Box Set (Czech Republic): The water effects make me think of a bottled water ad. In the 4K Best Buy Steelbook it was OK, but here it's a bit too much for my taste. 14. Heroes Cover (UK) 15. Heroes Cover (France) 16. 4K UHD 17. Disney Princess Cover (Australia)
Disney's Divinity wrote:6. Zavvi Steelbook ~ It looks empty without the logo somewhere.
Actually, the Zavvi steelbook has like a slipcover with the title on it that can be removed, so with it on it doesn't lack the logo. The Spanish version, which I own, is the same but with Vaiana as the title. Personally, I also prefer it with the logo.
