Come to think of it, Disney stole my ideas for The Country Bears---I'll sue!

Anyway, if Disney really had ripped this guy off of all those drawings and ideas, you'd think he would have sued as soon as he saw the movie, not waited three years!

he wrote characters called Will, Elizabeth and an eccentric Pirate. Well, everyone knows Johnny Depp made Jack Sparrow eccentric, the way the character was written was totally normal, just your average shwashbuckling hero.

His timing says it all anyway.

Now he will meet the lawyers of the Walt Disney Company. The moment they'll be able to turn the thing around and sue HIM, he probaply wishes he'd dealt with the crew of the Flying Dutchman instead.

He's gonna lose. I'm sure that even he know's that he is going to lose. Why waste the judge's time? He has more important things to do in court instead of some "weird" person saying that Disney took his ideas (which Disney didn't, they probably didn't even know the guy).

These people just need to get a life and stop blamming everyone for thinking of the idea first. I one time thought of a great plot for an animated movie about cars. Then I heard Pixar was already making it. I was disappionted that idea was taken but you don't see me suing Pixar. :headshake:
If I remember rightly it turns out the family did sue the music publisher and won. Disney was not affected by it at all, because they paid the publisher royalties.

Also a featurette on Dead Man's Chest (Region 4) disc 2 has a look at the project in a monthly matter and what the project went though, including what seemed to be a near cancelation of the movie, because they couldn't get a story together (screenwriters). It's an interesting featurette, like nothing I've seen on any other DVD set, Unless the first movie had something like this, I haven't even watched the second disc yet.

Just for note, I watched it at someones that had rented it, so I can't really give anymore details, good movies though. It'll be interesting to see if they have the dog and his bone in the next film.
