Re: Snow White (Live-Action)
Thank you for answering! I wasn't a huge fan of those Spider-Man films so I can see why DisneyFan97 isn't too pleased with the choice of director. And you're so sweet and honestly, it's really nothing to inform you about the extras. I wish Disney had made it easier for anyone to be able to tell what bonus features they're providing on Disney+. If you have any more requests, please let me know and I'll be glad to answer.Patricier21 wrote:Marc Webb, director of The Andrew Garfield Amazing Spider-Mans. I could see Disney making some of the dwarfs female this time (such as Dopey).DisneyFan97 wrote:Hope They cast the Qunne soon![]()

Don't know her, but either Disney doesn't know what "snow white" means or the West Side Story film has a White girl playing Maria.

Re: Snow White (Live-Action)
She has that Snow White energy and an amazing set of pipes. I can see her in that role and as a Disney princess!
Bigger question for me is, who will be the evil queen. I mean, Charlize already played the part to perfection in another franchise. Cate Blanchett and Angelina Jolie are already part of the Disney animated feature live action remake universe... So who would be good in the part? And which direction will they take this?
Nicole Kidman? Gal Gadot (to young perhaps)? Jennifer Lopez? Viola Davis (perhaps not a good idea to have a queen be jealous of the beauty of a lighter skinned young girl, in today's climate that might not read well...).. uhm... Sandra Bullock? Milla Jovovich? Jennifer Connely? Michelle Yeoh?

I am eagerly anticipating Zegler in West Side Story. She will probably make a great Snow White, too.
Still grr-ing about Pasek and Paul, though.

Just curious what you're basing the former on? Her Wikipedia page says she hasn't been in a (finished) film or Broadway show.robster16 wrote:She has that Snow White energy and an amazing set of pipes.

I personally don't like her, but I don't care much for this film so it's a
from me.
Re: Snow White (Live-Action)
Yay! So happy for Rachel Zegler!! She must've been good in West Side Story since she has been cast in two major roles (the other is Shazam! 2) even before her debut film has been released. It's giving me Julie Andrews energy/vibes (cast in The Americanization of Emily and The Sound of Music before Mary Poppins was released)!
Whoever they get for the Evil Queen would have to be someone that can sing because this will be a musical and I imagine the Queen will have a song. To be fair though, Jafar or Scar didn't have them either, so... Now that I think about it, the only live-action villain to sing so far has been Gaston.

Zegler had a prolific YouTube presence even before she was cast in West Side Story. There are many videos online of her singing, and yes, she is very talented.Disney's Divinity wrote:Just curious what you're basing the former on? If we’re looking for singers perhaps Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lopez, Catherine Zeta-Jones. Maybe a pop star like Gaga— I think I read she met with Chapek recently? Although Gaga seems a little young yet for the role. I would kinda love JLo. I think a period piece would be new for her, but if the music is by Pasek and Paul it will probably have a very modern, poppy vibe anyway.tsom wrote:Whoever they get for the Evil Queen would have to be someone that can sing because this will be a musical and I imagine the Queen will have a song. Re: Snow White (Live-Action)
Okay then. I just thought if the woman's an unknown, it comes across pretty phony to claim anything about her at all. But her being a talented singer doesn't erase the fact that she doesn't look like the character she's playing; it reminds me a great deal of Halle Bailey playing a red-haired girl in The Little Mermaid.UmbrellaFish wrote:

So you finally understand how those in the Encanto thread feel?farerb wrote:The music is by Pasek and Paul?! Ugh another reason not to get excited...

She’s super beautiful! Looking forward to seeing her in West Side Story to hear her sing. But yeah, she’s beautiful.

Now, let’s see who the Queen will be.
