The original West Side Story is good enough, so the remake (like so many others) never really held my interest.
What are your feelings about Harry Potter now?

Re: Pinocchio Platinum Edition Discussion Thread
As HP fans have said, JK Rowling may have written the books but the second she publishes them and puts them out in the world, they belong to us the fans now. They are no longer hers to dictate and control. I won't let a madwoman's hostile and belligerent views to transwomen (and transmen) taint my love for Harry Potter especially when Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Eddie Redmayne, Bonnie Wright, Katie Leung, and Chris Rankin have all denounced her views and declared or reiterated their solidarity with the trans community. I'll also point out that Evanna Lynch also stook up for transpeople but her post was a bit more problematic because she also tried to wipe JK Rowling's slate clean and defend her by pointing out that her other views aren't horrible so we should forgive her. And she's right to an extent but let's say for a second that Hitler didn't hate homosexuals and the Romani and all the other minority groups he targeted. He only hates the Jews but those other groups we'll pretend he had no issue with. Are we supposed to say that "well it's terrible he hates the Jews but you know, he's really good to the Romani and the LGTB community so he can't be all that bad and we really shouldn't forget that and denounce him just for hating one group?" Umm, absolutely NOT. JK Rowling has disappointed a whole generation of her fans but she's the one who has to live with that now.
I'd also like to point out that Tom Felton liked JK Rowling's TERF tweets so he's clearly not an ally and it's no surprise he didn't stand with his co-stars and declare solidarity with the trans community. A shame especially since he was always a favorite in the Harry Potter fandom, but it's clear that it's only his looks that garnered that love from the fans and not his views. I'm not surprised now about why Emma Watson never ended up with him.
