Does this mean the colors are the same as the Blu-Ray?MickeyMouseboy wrote:JeanGreyForever wrote:Have you seen the transfer? What's it like?
Looks like the Blu-ray but way sharper, HDR is so colourful and I’ve noticed so many things I’ve never seen before. Totally worth it!

That's unfortunate. Probably will be skipping this then.

Crap. Disney wth? Now I'm looking forward to eithe Disney doing a very surprising special limited edition collection of all their movies with correct and faithful transfers, or just wait for public domain to have people put it out the best way.

Can we get Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland in the public domain while we're at it? The transfers for those leave a lot to be desired as well although Alice at least looks good, even if it's not movie accurate.

Agreed. And The Sword in the Stone, because not everyone prescribes to Disney+.

Yes, and also The Black Cauldron since that has a gorgeous 4K transfer on Disney+ now as well. Still need to see it on there. I did watch The Sword in the Stone and the transfer was amazing although it didn't make up for such a lackluster movie.

I would've liked to have the steelbook, but I already own a Blu-ray version of the film. If I hadn't bought the Diamond or if the colors in the film were changed to how they looked, then I probably would have.MickeyMouseboy wrote:https://www.hdmoviesource.com/v/vspfile ... 2924-1.jpg??
Anyone get this yet!? The transfer is so beautiful and the steelbook is beautiful!

Oh, then yes, The Black Cauldron, too! My steelbook finally arrived. I love it. I have to get back to work now but soon I'll post my entire Beauty and the Beast Collection.MickeyMouseboy wrote:

I also wanted to add that this might be the final steelbook I buy (for a while at least) cause not living in USA, these become really hard or expensive to get.
So far I have The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and The Lion King (all in 4K), Moana (3D + 4K) and The Last Jedi (4K).

Wait... SWORD has been redeemed a new transfer beside the horrid 50th Anniversary blu ray?!JeanGreyForever wrote:Yes, and also The Black Cauldron since that has a gorgeous 4K transfer on Disney+ now as well. Re: Beauty and the Beast Discussion
Yeah, farerb posted about it and The Black Cauldron having wonderful new restorations when Disney+ first started. I really hope they--but especially TSitS in my case, since it's in my top 3 Disney films--get released on Blu-ray before Disney ends physical releases altogether... Or at least through the Disney Movie Club if nothing else.rodis wrote:

@Farerb - you have a beautiful collection! I'm so jealous. And that steelbook looks lovely, I'm half tempted to pick it up just for the cover. And love how the only new Star Wars film you felt the need to purchase was TLJ. Impeccable taste

Yes, but only on Disney+ sadly. I hope Disney ends up releasing it on a physical release one day soon. The same goes for The Black Cauldron.rodis wrote:Wait... Farerb, what kind of merchandise is that magic mirror, and where did you get it?!

Re: Beauty and the Beast Discussion
It's a real mirror and I got it way back from a third party seller on Amazon.Disney Duster wrote:Farerb, what kind of merchandise is that magic mirror, and where did you get it?!

Unfortunately it seems like no one sells it. Maybe there are some on eBay.
