Ahh, yes the mobile and desktop versions are indeed different. Strange. I wonder if this means they use different transfers, or if its just the spec listing that is different.
Random, but I just noticed they use the cropped version of return of jafar. So disappointing.
This morning I watched the Forky short, Float, and the first episode of The Imagineering Story on my Firestick with no lagging issues. Looking forward to more episodes of The Imagineering Story.
Big Disney Fan wrote:So as I was looking around on my Samsung Smart TV, I happened to spot an ad for Disney Plus on there. Out of curiosity, I clicked on it. To my surprise, after several seconds of a blue screen, followed by a spinning circle, I happened upon some Disney characters and the phrase "Log in". I didn't log in because I didn't have the information to do so. But it did make me think that maybe Disney Plus is available on Samsung Smart TVs after all, especially after I went to the set of apps there, and spotted "Disney Plus" under "Recent".
I'll have to check again on my Samsung TV. I tried with my Xfinity cable service but it wasn't offered on that.

Wow, I really hope the physical 4K edition of BATB doesn't look anything like this. For me, the colors are clearly the 2D Diamond/Signature Edition ones.

So far, I’m loving Disney+. My only complaints are that The Simpsons episodes are cropped instead of being in their native aspect ratio, along with the obvious lack of the episode, Stark Raving Dad, one of my favorite episodes of the show. I hope that they have a change of heart in the distant future.
Same with The Little Mermaid show but that was the case on iTunes as well. The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh isn't cropped luckily.

I actually met the exact same technical difficulty as you. Did you find out a solution or an explanation ?
I retried like two hours ago and this time it worked out very well without me trying anything special.
So at the end, they just need to make their service work a little bit better..
With time, hopefully...
The app isn't even working for me right now. It was fine this morning but now nothing will play.

Guys, I can’t help but notice that there’s no Download button on the Desktop version.. while it is present every time in the app.
Does it mean there is no way to download Disney+’s content on your computer (when it is possible to do so on an iPad or an iPhone)? If so, what why? Was it the same with Netflix? (idk)
Well, if that’s the case, it is pretty unnerving, cause my computer is by far the device on which I have more space to put content when I’m away without an Internet connection.. What’s the point?

You can download films or episodes on your computer for Netflix. A shame that doesn't hold true for Disney Plus.

Roughly 5 hours ago I met that problem. So I just stopped using the service for a moment. But now it’s fine!
Hopefully mine will work again soon. I was looking forward to using it during my one hour commute but that seems unlikely now.

You can only download Netflix content using the Netflix app on your PC, that's not available on the web version. Since there's no Windows 10 app for Disney+, I don't think it's going to happen (although they could have easily released the Xbox app for W10)

Oh that’s how it works with Netflix.. Thank you for the clarification!
(although that’s the connection with the Xbox app?)
Well maybe Disney will release its own streaming app later on with the growing success of its platform... Let’s keep an eye open!
1) It's interesting... after the HORRIBLE blu ray for SWORD IN THE STONE with its terrible restoration, Disney Plus has the film in HD but "unrestored".... so the film looks as it was meant to look!
2) So... if I download the app to my phone, I can DOWNLOAD content from disney plus??? So I can see it without an internet connection? Like... an entire movie??

Yeah but it’s cropped!!! So what’s even the point of having the movie in 4K?? It’s like Disney will never learn.
