Was "Under the Sea" really inspired by the underwater "The Beautiful Briny" scene in B&B? I'd never heard that before and he doesn't really offer proof for that one.
Something about learning McDowall's character once had a larger role doesn't surprise me. I did enjoy the "Where Are They Now?" for the actors at the end, to see how the children look all grown up.

^ I don't have time right now to do an in-depth search but I'm finding on Google that TBBS thematically inspired UtS. I bet the people working on TLM went to the Animation Research Library and looked at artwork from TBBS.
I remember in TLM bonus features that they mentioned looking at the underwater scenes of Pinocchio for inspiration but I don't remember the same being said for Bedknobs and Broomsticks. It wouldn't surprise me that that's the case though.
