The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild

Post by Sotiris »

It turns out instead of a TV series like it was initially reported, it's going to be a series of films for Disney+.
At the same time, Ms. Snider is moving her film studio into TV production, with series in development based on its “Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” “Ice Age” and “Night at the Museum” film franchises.

We have learned that Disney/Fox are in early development on spinoffs for the ‘Ice Age’ and ‘Rio’ franchises. Blue Sky Studios is currently set to be the production company behind these spinoffs. Per sources, we have been told that the ‘Rio’ spinoff will focus on Nico and Pedro and that the ‘Ice Age’ spinoff will focus on Buck. It is currently unknown at this time if the actors that voiced these respective roles will be offered to reprise them for these spinoffs given how the spinoffs are in early development.

The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, exclusively for Disney+, is a spin-off of the popular “Ice Age” franchise from 20th Century Studios. The story centers on three series favorites: the prankster possum brothers Crash and Eddie, and the swashbuckling titular weasel, Buck. Simon Pegg will be returning in the role of Buck. The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild is slated for an early 2022 release.

I thought this was a series, not a feature film. If it is being scored, then it must be nearing completion.

Any word on where it was animated? :(

I can't put my finger on it, but the animation reminds me of something that would come from a Nickelodeon TV show, you know? Something about the look of this bothers me a little, like it's not as fully rendered as I'd like.

I've only seen the first Ice Age film so I probably won't watch this anytime soon but his just bugs me...
