You welcome. Giants are common in Norse mythology (and in other mythologies), but the fact that they are also made of stone is less common (at least while still alive), so it is possible that they have taken som liberties because they thought it looked cooler if they were made of living stone, or borrowed from other mythologies, like Irish mythology.
Then again, also the tiny trolls from the first movie is made of some kind of stone. Maybe the filmmakers are trying to use the elements of nature as part of the plot, like water, ice, stone, earth, fire and so on. We'll probably get some answers from behind the scenes-material or future interviews.

Perhaps these giants were added in as a replacement for those from Gigantic? :P Sorry, I couldn't resist ;)

I truly thought they’d try hard to recapture that moment for this movie, and I’m so glad to see they didn’t and just let the song come from the story. I think it’s nice enough. It still isn’t the most... creative instrumentally, and the lyrics are of course not Ashman level, but we knew that going in. The only thing that really bothers me is I feel like the *voice* doesn’t musically fit in the song at times. Almost as if it’s at odds against the music, and it takes away from the song instead of adding to it. Maybe I’m crazy, but I’ve thought that every time I’ve heard it. It’s like a placeholder voice and they never wrote one to perfectly fit musically with the full song.
Well, of course. It's not as it needed to be the next Let it Go, anyway. I appreciated that, too, though I still think the song was better at it's very end.

So glad Hans has one scene. It has to be a post-credits scene where he reacts to Anna being queen. Come on, that reaction would be priceless! rotfl rotfl rotfl

About the pic:

QUEEN ANNA IS EVERYTHING! I can not wait to see more of Snow Queen/Goddess Elsa!

Also, do I know all of the spoilers already? I want there to be surprises!

The major spoilers that I know:

Queen Anna/Goddess Elsa.
Evil Grandpa
Queen Iduna as the voice....I think?

It's true, the trolls from the first film were also made of stone. Yes, we'll probably learn more about them in future interviews or behind-the-scenes stuff.

Visually, however, it'll probably be reminiscent of "Let It Go" given that Elsa is creating things with her magic during both musical numbers.

Taken from the book "Frozen II: Forest of Shadows". Disney finally gave Frozen fans a lesbian couple! It's just in book form. :P

The Frozen 2 read-along storybook and CD has been leaked. It includes snippets of dialogue from the film. Needless to say, it's full of spoilers.

That's what I thought at first too because of the duet Elsa sings with Iduna but after I read the Little Golden Book, I think the voice she heard was just her unconscious self. In the book it said "The voice that had called to her now quieted to a whisper, and she realized it had been within her all along."

Well, Golden Book hides a lot. So, we'll see. Also: Tell me Jesus that Olaf survives because......the scene where he melts. Ouch.

Oh Sotiris! You were right about the voice being Elsa. According to a book, Iduna's part is a reprise of All is Found. Also, not surprisingly: Olaf does survive. She revives him during the reunion. Disney wouldn't have killed him off.

In which book were these spoilers? Do you have a link? I don't agree with how they're handling Olaf. This is the second fake-out they do where he supposedly melts/dies in order to emotionally manipulate the audience. How many times are they going pull the same trick? They should have never written such a plot point in the sequel if they weren't willing to follow through with it. This is just lazy writing.

By the way, it just occurred to me that the ice cave Elsa enters towards the end of the film represents a womb through which she's reborn. By exiting the cave she has reached a new state of being as a spirit. It's a clever use of symbolism.

It was one of the videos on YouTube: The movie storybook. She was described as "Her mother's words about the river echo in her mind."

I somewhat disagree you about Olaf. Seems like the scene is definitely a tearjerker. And he is gone for a long long time: Like 30-45 minutes. The first Frozen at least teased about Olaf melting, but at that moment, it was pretty slow. When Olaf melts at the end, it was 4 seconds

All these bits of spoilers are making me even more intrigued as to how the movie will execute these plot-points. Plus I hope the soundtrack samples come out soon so I can hear more of the other songs; "All is Found" and "Show Yourself" have me curious.

Wow, if Olaf is really gone for 30-45 minutes of screentime, that's almost half the film.

No, he won't be gone for that long. He melts during the third act. I'd say it's more like 10-15 min.

So it looks like Elsa discovers she's the over-powered 5th spirit in her sequel, while Ralph was the bumbling, clingy moron in his sequel. Disney is promoting these characters exactly how I thought. Thank goodness we go back to Originality/Raya in 2020!

Oh ok. Disneyprincess11 said he'd be gone for 30-45 minutes which seemed like a really long time to kill him off.

So Im gonna assume that whatever happens after this film, whether a 3rd sequel, shorts or a series, will take place during the 3 year gap that takes place before the 2nd film. B/C if Elsa literally becomes a goddess at the end of Frozen 2 where do you go from there as far as antagonists/conflicts? Unless you introduce other antagonistic spirits/gods. And then it turns into a shonen anime, where we end up with a bunch of overpowered characters trying to one up each other. :P
