Aurora’s wedding dress looks like something that should be under the real dress? She looks very hippie-ish. Phillip’s outfit is nice, but I can’t look at the new Phillip without wishing the old actor had come back.

Same, it's a pity we didn't get a more traditional take on the tale like Cinderella or the Snow White we'll end up getting.

Saw an early screening in London today. Reviews/spoilers embargoed until midday Tuesday (UK time) but early social media reactions are allowed.

If you enjoyed the first one then I think you’ll enjoy this one. Despite the trailers trying to muddy the waters a little the film makes no attempt to hide who the villain is, and I’m pretty sure everyone here guessed it from the first teaser (sorry those like me who wanted to see evil Maleficent). I had no idea Robert Lindsay was playing Philip’s father so that was a nice surprise for me. Being honest it does lack depth, it’s only about 2 hours long and it flies by very quickly. Angelina Jolie is still great (even if I would love to see her go true Mistress of Evil one day), and she and Michelle Pfeiffer get the chew the scenery a bit. Loved the design of the Dark Fey realm.

I enjoyed it more than the first, I think because I forgave this one for having good Maleficent since that fault lies with the first film. I think Disney probably did the right thing pulling it forward to open around Halloween, but I don’t see it becoming a massive event. Fun to pass a few hours but not massively memorable for me. I truly hope Sleeping Beauty fans get what they want from it.

Evidently, this is Aurora's actual wedding dress. It's with this one she walks down the aisle. I think the previous one is just her Queen dress from the very end of the film.

It’s better than the other one at least. And I like it much better than the dress Belle wears at the end of the LA B&TB and slightly better than Cinderella’s, since you brought them up, although I liked Cinderella’s hair/veil better than Aurora’s hair bouquet.

I like Aurora's wedding dress, though it should be a little more historically accurate. That's a lovely shot of Belle, can I see the full thing? And I thought Belle's dress at the end wasn't a wedding dress? Did you just mean "special end of the movie romantic dress" for all of them?

Yes, technically it's a "celebration dress". That's what Disney's officially calling it. But come on. They wouldn't have put her in white if they didn't want it to be perceived as a wedding dress.

Review embargo is lifted. Looks, similarly to the first, that the reviews are mixed. Critics who liked it seem to have some high praise, while those who didn't seem to find it hollow. Looks like story is pretty simplistic/basic, and Jolie/Pfieffer/the Spectacle is the selling point, which is unsurprising. Scott Mendelson basically gave it a rave based on those elements along.

I actually liked that music video. But it's funny how she's like "That's enough for right now" like she didn't really care she sang a crappy song, lol.

Thanks for the Belle picture and I guess the white represents she will marry him, but I wish they had just let her get married at the end.
