Source: http://www.tracking-board.com/tb-exclus ... r-dan-lin/Everybody’s favorite bumbling cyborg policeman is making his return to the big screen via Lin Pictures and Disney. Dan Lin will produce the Inspector Gadget reboot, which sources confirm will be another live-action interpretation of the beloved cartoon classic. The film is expected to wash away the existence of the 1999 Matthew Broderick outing, as well as the subsequent follow-up with French Stewart. Classic characters Gadget, Penny, and Brain are expected to appear, once again battling their unseen enemy, Doctor Claw. Lin Pictures’ president of production Jonathan Eirich will oversee development alongside Mark Bauch.

Re: Inspector Gadget Reboot
Well... this is a surprise. If there was going to be another Inspector Gadget movie, I wouldn't think it come from Disney again (and ironically they used to own the DiC library).
Re: Inspector Gadget Reboot
Is this an actual legit news website? I've never heard of it before. I tend to only believe stories when they come from Variety and Hollywood Reporter and neither has reported this yet.
Truth be told, as the only person who is a fan of the Matthew Broderick film (I even got all of the McDonalds toys for it way back when), I've actually been waiting years for a proper sequel that completely ignores that terrible one that went direct-to-video. Though I wouldn't be against a reboot.

I find this a little surprising. I've never been a fan of Inspector Gadget, but even so, it's hard to imagine it being successful in live-action.

Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"

Interesting news. However, I bet this will be exclusive to Disney+, and since I have no intention of enrolling for the latter it means I will never be able to see it.
