Really can't wait for this to launch. Looking forward to most of the new stuff and the back catalogue looks pretty great too.

Really hope we get more of the classic animated series on there in the first year (Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck, Gargoyles, Aladdin, Hercules, Lilo & Stitch, so much good stuff they can add).

Interesting. I'll just post the numbers here:
Netflix’s dominance of global SVOD is falling, although the company will add 79 million subs between 2018 and 2024 to take its total to 219 million.

The firm projects Amazon Prime will rank second in 2024 with 127 million subscribers.

Disney+ is expected to reach 82 million subscribers by 2024.

Apple is number four with expected 13 million subscribers in 2024.

The Disney Vault is dead!

Disney+ will house Disney's entire motion picture library, including movies traditionally kept in the vault

But it hasn't been confirmed yet if all the films will be available at the same time, right? Like how Netflix will remove movies/shows for a period of time (and I assume being some back?)?

The Disney Vault should be dead. It only made sense when theatrical reissues were the only option. But like Amy, I don’t yet trust that Disney won’t continue this practice in some way.

Netflix removes movies/shows because their license expires. Disney doesn't have that problem so once something is added, it won't get removed. Obviously, not everything will be added right away, it's going to be a gradual process. I predict that their entire catalog will be there in 5 years time (or less).

Yeah, I believe it was said that said at D23 that the additions to Disney+ are permanent, so once a show or film is there, it stays :)

And Gargoyles, Chip n Dale, Darkwing Duck? This deal gets better all the time!!

Well, to my knowledge, these haven't been confirmed. That article just mentioned a Tweet about Disney+'s "ideal afternoon schedule," and the Tweet did not mention Gargoyles (but the author said they are hoping for it). But fingers crossed for all of them!

I just hope that, because of Disney+, that whatever they haven't finished putting out in a physical release will happen eventually now--and that includes shows like The Little Mermaid, Hercules, Aladdin, The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Tangled: The Series. It would take no effort to release them via the DMC if they've already had to put the shows together for Disney+.

^yesss, especially interested in Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules and Tarzan tv series as I never was able to watch all the episodes.

So will there be any other way to watch Disney+ other than through a computer and smart tv? I dont have a smart tv and I hate watching tv on a computer. I do have a "smart" blu-ray player that lets me watch Amazon and Netflix but its an old model and its a.... Sony. :-P Will there be something like a firestick available?

From what I understand, Disney has not reached an agreement with Amazon; so I am not sure if Disney+ will be available for Fire products or not. Especially since we have about 8 weeks before the launch. This sucks! Because I stream everything through my Firestick. I have hope that there will be an agreement due to Hulu and the package deal that Disney is bundling.

Firesticks are easily hackable, I'm sure there's a way to get disney plus on there.
