Just an occasional bump to this thread to let everyone know I'm still tracking thes and to reflect that there has been no news to update that I know of since March.
The next Disney DVD which will likely have a slipcover is <a href=http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... rovemz>THE LION KING II: SIMBA'S PRIDE 2-Disc Special Edition, which streets August 31.

I wouldn't completely rule it out but for some reason I doubt it. We'll see on August 3.SofaKing381222 wrote:Will the new Princess Diaries: 2-Disc Release have a slip-cover?

I've learned now that if u take part in certain DVD discounts then you will not be guaranteed a slipcover
The $12.99 each deal that they had for Finding Nemo and Pirates of the Carribean at Circuit City a few months ago did not have slipcovers for either of them
The latest deal from Best Buy where you get $5 off for purchasing Lion King 2 and Brother Bear do not have slipcover for Brother Bear. This did not surprise me but I'm still disturbed by the fact that I dont have a cover for Brother Bear because it is a collector's edition

I think I'll just make sure that I get slipcovers for any Disney Classics getting Special Edition, though I am aware that not all of them will have this.
I must shop and shop carefully

So Far I Have The Slipcover To Every Disney DVD That I Am Aware Of That Has Been Released With A Slipcover Except For Finding Nemo But I My Blockbuster Had A Bunch Of Empty DVD Cases On Display Because They Were Advertising Some Movie Deal Thingie And I Was Going To Ask If I Could Pay Them A Couple Of Dollars For Just The Slipcover Since They Had Like 7 Of Them In The Stack.

I have updated the first post of this thread with various tidbits of information, most notably that Simba's Pride DOES indeed have a slipcover.
And...uhm...guys? The thread title is "The Definative Disney DVDs w/Slipcovers List." Have you forgotten that the list is here? I started this thread so that we could avoid the "Does _________ have a slipcover?" threads/questions; the first post in this thread is continually updated with new information when availabnle. It also points out that SLIPCOVERS ARE A LIMITED EDITION THING, so offers or no offers, after the first couple printings sell out the slipcovers will probably be gone. So, before asking if a DVD has a slipcover or complaining that yours didn't in this or any thread, please, check the first post to see the list! Tha't's why it's here!
Thanks.

A number of mine have shipped with slipcovers.stitch79 wrote:I'm planning to order Mulan and Aladdin from Amazon, do they normally ship their dvds with the slipcovers?
I think like most titles, the slips are limited to the initial orders. So if you preorder your DVD, chances are you'll get it.
Of course, this is all guesswork based on past experience, but if you are really concerned, you go always ask a nice forum member to "shop" for them for you?

Most Disney DVDs don't come with a slipcover. Assuming you have already seen Jake Lipson's list of what DOES or DID come with a slipcover here, and you have one of those titles and it didn't come with one...well, you can try calling Disney (1-800-72-DISNE...Y), but I'm not sure they'll be able to help you.
