I don't the rest are good enough to be nominated. To be honest I don't think Spirit is good enough to be nominated, but the power of Beyoncé™ shall not be ignored.

Yes, it's true; it looks like they could get more than one nomination. I haven't been paying attention yet to what songs other studios have released/will release though, so don't know how competitive the category will be this year. Cats will probably have an original song that could be nominated, and I think Elton John has a good chance with the song from Rocketman, but I don't know much more.

I predict "Into the Unknown" will definitely be nominated (probably the only song Disney will submit from Frozen 2), and maybe "Never Too Late" from The Lion King if Academy members choose it over "(I'm Gonna) Love Me Again". I think "Speechless" could be among the nominees too, but after Alan Menken was snubbed for "Evermore", I don't want to get my hopes up.

I'm glad "Speechless" was nominated for those awards. Three songs from Disney films got nominations, four if we count "I'm Standing with You" from Fox's Breakthrough, which by the way, I didn't know until recently was written by Diane Warren. That song could also have chances at the Oscars.

With "Speechless" getting snubbed at the Grammys, its Oscar chances got severely diminished. I doubt it'll even be able to secure a nomination now.

Well, I already wasn't expecting an Oscar nomination for "Speechless", even though it's my favorite from Disney this year, but this is a shame nonetheless. Especially when two songs from the studio that in my opinion are inferior are nominated.

While the lead single from the Lady Gaga-Bradley Cooper awards darling, "Shallow," was eligible last year -- and was nominated for four GRAMMYs, winning two: Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Song Written for Visual Media -- the full soundtrack was not released within the eligibility period and will thus be eligible for nominations at this year's awards.

While A Star Is Born missed out on Album of the Year in the 2020 nominations, it did land a nod for Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media, as well as a Song of the Year recognition for "Always Remember Us This Way."

The true weirdness comes, however, in the category of Best Song Written For Visual Media. "Shallow" won this GRAMMY in 2019, and Gaga is nominated again in 2020 for "I'll Never Love Again." If she wins in January, she'll almost certainly be the first person to win back-to-back GRAMMYs in the same category for the same project.

It's true, "Girl in the Movies" and "Suspirium" are also from last year like the song form A Star Is Born, so "Speechless" won't have to compete with them at the Oscars. I actually don't know how much the Grammy nominations influence the Oscars in the song category. I've never paid much attention to the Grammys.

Oh, wow, I didn't know that. I mean, I still like it personally, but I thought Elton was going to be writing the song for Beyonce that was in-film? And then TLK: The Gift would be her own thing?
