It is.
I have my doubts if it will be in 4K, though.

There is no reason to doubt it, especially with all the Marvel and Pixar releases.

I found here a Disney Princess storybook, with illustrations in the same style as the ones in the Cinderella Target exclusive. I went ahead and ordered it, together with the new Cinderella Blu-ray.

I'm doubting it, because Cinderella didn't get a 4K release, and the ad at the end of the official Aladdin comparison video didn't mention a 4K version coming out for the 1992 movie. Just "Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD."

I knew about that storybook for some time. I was thinking of odering it, but I won't because it looks like it actually doesn't have that many illustrations per princess.

Cinderella is not a digital film. Aladdin is. Not the same case.

If we do actually get a 4K for Aladdin, maybe it'll get released at a later date, like The Lion King.

The only reason it happened was because when the Signature Collection of The Lion King was released, Disney didn't do 4K for old films yet, only for new releases. A year later Disney finally decided to do that with Wreck-It Ralph and then The Lion King, which I think was chosen over Beauty and the Beast because of the remake. There is no reason for that to happen with Aladdin. Disney actually want people to buy the 4Ks and The Lion King suffered from low sales because people were less willing to upgrade after they bought the Blu-ray a year before.

I know I didn't bother getting the 4K Lion King because I had already bought the regular Signature Edition a few months prior and that was the case for a lot of other people as well.

So that is the possible reason The Little Mermaid 4K sold more than The Lion King 4K.

Various sites have pre orders for Aladdin in 4K UHD. The date is September 10th.

I'm glad Aladdin 4K is confirmed. Can we get a BATB 4K confirmation lol?

This might be a dumb question, but it's confirmed that September 4th is the release date for the animated Aladdin, not (only) the live action one?

So I was just blocked from the Disney wiki for saying that Aladdin is the next Signature Collection title ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ironic since the Disney Wiki is usually fraught with fraudulent information, especially on their Diamond and Signature Edition pages.

I didn't even edit the page, I was only saying that in the comments section.
Here is the "reason" for my block: "Keeps assuming the next title in the Signature Collection in the comments and won't wait until Disney announces these things".

Disney literally put a video that says "coming soon" but okay...
