I was flipping channels tonight and ended up watching Grease. I absolutley love that movie, and since I don't have it (Don't know why), I watch it on tv when it's on. But because of that I missed the MTV Music Video Awards :( But hey, Grease beats it in the end!!!

Don't worry, the VMAs blew.

Ella Enchanted (B+) - I'm a fan of the book so I'm glad I liked it. :D I'll most likely buy the DVD when it's previewed at Blockbuster. :)
The Girl Next Door (B) - Nothing special, an entertaining and funny flick. And Cuthbert is smokin'!

Totally agree. Tends to get overlooked because it comes between the overhyped Pulp Fiction and equally overhyped Kill Bill, but is a solid little bit of storytelling. I would go so far as to say it is his best work.

Saw Bourne Supremacy tonight. Preferred the first, but it is still better than 99% of the genre.

And Soon the Darkness, which is a 'horror' film from 1970 directed by Robert Fuest (Dr. Phibes).

Just watched Alien. Really scary and creepy, I must say, but that doesn't stop it from being a very good film.

Just watched Van Helsing, 2 and a 1/2 times!

I had to review it, so I had to listen to both commentaries and then rewatch most of the film for sound and video quality. I had the day off so it was ok. Here is said review, if anyone cares:

I also started reviewing another disc (because I'm insane), and as a result watched Plague of Zombies.

I watched Sister Act 2: Back In The Habit because it was making its Disney Channel premier... they edited a lot out, but I suppose that was to be expected.

and...

The Late Shift, which was one of those movies that came on TV and I just started watching it. As it turns out, it was VERY good. It's about the competition between Jay Leno and David Letterman over who would take Johnny Carson's spot.
