WDW News Today is reporting that Ron W. Miller, who served as President and CEO of the Walt Disney Company from 1978 to 1984, has passed away at the age of 85.
Miller came to Disney through his marriage to Diane Disney (Walt's daughter), whom he married in 1954 (Diane Disney-Miller actually passed away in 2013.). Miller produced or executive produced such Disney movies as "Son of Flubber," "That Darn Cat!," "Pete's Dragon" and "Tron."
In his capacity as President and CEO of Disney, Miller also oversaw such initiatives as the launches of EPCOT Center, Tokyo Disneyland and the Disney Channel and the establishment of Touchstone Pictures.
