Looking for animated Christmas TV specials reccomendations.

Post by Guitarman »

I know that there are a lot more Christmas TV specials that what are shown on network TV every year, and this year, I’d like to watch some of the lesser-known ones. Can anyone recommend any animated (either traditional or stop-motion animation) Christmas TV specials that aren’t that well known?

Thank you.

Not sure this a TV special, but Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas (more like a DTV movie, but a favorite of mine)

Nester - something about a long eared donkey

The year without a santa clause

The Little Drummer Boy: Book 2 - not on dvd except on amazon with a compilation. I have VHS copy. Might be on youtube.

Mickey's Christmas Carol - might be well known, well to Disney fans at least.

Grandma got run over by a reindeer

Jack Frost - rankin/bass

Frosty's Winter Wonderland - direct sequel to rankin/bass 2d animation. Frosty

Frosty Returns - voiced my John Goodman.... I don't consider this direct direct sequel, but it's good anyway.

Rudolph and Frosty's Christmas in July - might be obscure.

Leprechauns Christmas Gold - I have no idea what this is about, just googled obscure Christmas specials. Made by Rankin/Bass

This Christmas Toy

Pinocchio's Christmas - rankin bass (I loved this one growing up, a lot)

Oh, and I see you made this November 26th. I don't get the chance to post as often as I use to. Was busy with college when you posted it.
