Mark Smith, the voice of Rhino already spilled the beans on it's sequel. Similar to how John C. Riley said a Wreck it Ralph sequel was happening in July 2015, even though Disney didn't officially announce it til June 2017. Look for the Zoo sequel to be announced sometime in 2019, probably at D23 next August.

I hope this is properly explained in the movie, considering a lot of people already assume this is supposed to be the real princesses. Also sad that Disney gave Tiana her old look back. Still confused how the attempts to make her look more modern by giving her hair and clothes made for the present day world was seen as an attempt to make her look more white.

What isn't right, as Rumpelstiltskin said, is what these news sites are doing.

Ralph's first scene with Yesss in the BTS video is adorable. Really glad Ralph still has a crush on Yesss. I don't know if they were endgame in the draft that I saw from the expo.

I knew you were worried about Vanellope's thoughts leaving the racers behind. I stumbled across the answer in the book and it's not bad and they actually say how terrible it is. Vanellope decides to leave them AFTER they get the wheel. Ralph and Vanellope have a huge blowout and Ralph points out that it's terrible that she's leaving her game and the racers behind. She says that she's out of eleven racers and they won't miss her.

This doesn't really help Vanellope's case, in my book. Ralph may call her on it but she comes off as too dismissive and flippant. Like leaving her game and people behind is a trivial afterthought. They should have at least shown her to feel a bit guilty or conflicted or worried about leaving them behind.

I just don't get why they would contradict the themes of the first film when Ralph had to learn to be fine with society expectations of him and not leave his game and find a new game that would improve his life. So Vanellope can do whatever, but Ralph has to be stuck in a game where they disrespect him?

Agreed. It also goes against the video game rules established in the original about characters leaving their games. Their explanation that Vanellope is one of many racers and people wouldn't notice she's missing whereas Ralph is much more integral to his game is a bit too convenient for my taste.

What contradiction I found really strange is...Ralph goes to Double Dan to get a virus that will slow down Slaughter Races. That is not strange. What is strange is this is hacking the game and almost destroying it. Turbo did the same thing twice in the first movie. Ralph is just as bad as Turbo, no matter his intentions. And yet they do NOT make a Turbo connection. At all. This would be a good spot to bring Turbo back for a second since Ralph is literally going Turbo when the whole first 5 minutes w/ the first movie is do NOT go Turbo.

You're right! I hadn't noticed the parallel to Turbo until you mentioned it. "Going Turbo" was one of Ralph's fears and he ultimately, albeit unintentionally, becomes exactly that. This would have been a good opportunity to address that connection and weave it into the narrative. It would have made Ralph's arc much more nuanced and compelling that just being insecure about his friend moving away.

The song's growing on me. I feel if it had a slower tempo and got rid of the pop-synth instrumentation and that annoying constant beat, it would have been a pretty decent song. I hope someone covers it as a more traditional ballad. Not a fan of the music video at all, though. I found it unappealing and just plain stupid.

That scene of the two of them together was, indeed, cute. It looks like they're underplaying the romance angle even more in the sequel. I doubt it'll go anywhere beyond Ralph having a bit of an unreciprocated crush on her.

It's refreshing that it's only a small crush and nothing else. They could have gone through the classic Disney route and make it into a side love story, but they didn't. I do hope Ralph finds a girl in a future project. I wonder if they're doing a Ralph/Elsa thing as Rich teased earlier back.

From abandoning Vanellope's presidency to Ralph going Turbo, to put it nicely, I don't know why the directors chose to miss so many points from the first movie.

They chose to ignore it because it was in the way of all the cross-promotion and product placement.

I do hope Ralph finds a girl in a future project.

Maybe they'll give Ralph a love interest if there's a Wreck-It Ralph TV series. Somehow I doubt they're going to make another theatrical sequel regardless of how this one performs.
