Surprised but pleasantly surprised. Was hoping to see something on the cultural legacy of the film, such as the inclusion of Hocus Pocus in the Disney Parks Halloween shows, but that was always unlikely. I'm just glad we're getting something. The trivia mode ought to be interesting.

The Target edition has sold out. I only know because I was going to pre-order it tonight, but nope. I guess it's the standard for me.

If you guys are interested, the UK version of this release has a different cover art, and it comes with a bonus book:

I think this version is the same as the Target exclusive, but it will be released on September 24. I'm getting this one :)

Well, I drove out to the store twice this week (+ BestBuy hoping to get the TNBC steelbook). Luckily, I got the Target exclusive for Hocus Pocus, but no luck with the TNBC steelbook unfortunately. :/ They had plenty of the Hocus Pocus steelbooks.

Good job, you got what they had run out of in pre-oders! I'm glad for you! Enjoy! I wanted that one most because it has the making of book, but I pre-ordered the steelbook and will love it more for myself just because it's like I have the spellbook. I'm going to read a friend's Target making of book, though.

On Etsy, there are sellers who actually sell the spellbook. There was one with an interactive eye that actually moved around although it's sold out now. I would have loved it myself but it was quite expensive and while I'm fond of this movie, it's not enough of a major favorite of mine that I would want to spend so much money on.

Target online currently has Hocus Pocus exclusive in stock. Think it'll sell out sooner than later?

Yeah, JeanGreyForever, that book, especially with an interactive eye (!), is super cool, but I'm not a big enough fan to buy an actual spellbook replica. The Best Buy version, (which I got today!), is perfect for me.

Thanks disneyboy20022, for the heads up, but I'm not gonna buy it now that I have the steelbook. Hopefully my friend gets it so I can read it.

Mainly was asking if you think It'd sell out anytime soon and should I try to grab mine right now.

It's really too bad that the few 'famous' deleted scenes like the supermarket and the swimming pool are not included (they're only shown as script + photos). Does anyone know how we could reach out to Disney for some clarity on that? Judging by how fast this release is selling (and how hard it is to find in some stores) I hope they see the positive demand from fans!

Apparently the deleted scenes were shown when Hocus Pocus was on pay-per-view in 1994 but it's near impossible to find them! I've been searching for a long time.

I only watched the beginning of the We Love Hocus Pocus Trick or Treat bonus feature thing (I passed out around the time the sisters ran away from the firetruck; I was tired), but they showed two deleted scenes with the parents. One was of the father convincing Max to take his sister Trick or Treat-ing and then another of the parents saying bye when they left.

It contains an introduction by Kenny Ortega, character descriptions and behind-the-scenes photos (and a piece of concept art on the last page).

Are the bonus features worth the upgrade? From the looks of the digital copy it doesn’t look to be. Don’t think I want to upgrade lol.

I enjoyed the bonus features, but there are only archival interviews sporadically that offer insight, but no newly recorded footage or audio by any of the cast or crew.

I just came back from Disney World's Halloween party and I loved the Hocus Pocus show with all the Disney Villains, I recorded the song: ''I put a spell on you'', it's really amazing.

The major deleted scenes are all still missing. Really they should have waited to release this since there have been so many Hocus Pocus specials on Freeform for the 25th Anniversary, not to mention all the Disney Parks stuff.

I wonder if the reason why those deleted scenes were not included (the pool, supermarket, etc.) was because they are somewhat long scenes and as a picture-in-picture they would take too long? The deleted scenes shown were all relatively short!

Any way we can reach out to Disney for comment? It's interesting that they came up with that new stop-motion series Hocus Pocus: The Brew. Just goes to show how much appreciation there is for this film. I bet the anniversary edition sold well!
