Not crazy at all, I completely agree with you...it's not so much the story or the villian, or even the dwarfs (which, in my opinion are way over-rated)...but the main character, Snow White, and her actions. I just can't stand her! I mean, if you look at the other Princesses (for this post I'll define princess as Belle, Snow White, Cinerella, Ariel, Jasmine, and Aurora.) they all are heroic or at least go for what they want.
Snow White - Is almost murdered by the huntsman because she's prettier than the Wicked Queen, (what a lame reason for murder), She runs into the forest and lives with seven little old men as their cook and maid. Is naive enough to eat something a stranger gave her. Wishing apple, yeah...oookay....
Belle - Gave up her freedom for her father and dealt with the stubborn beast.
Cinderella - Went to the castle and got her prince. Didn't give up when Lady Tramaine locked her up.
Ariel - Went to Ursula to become a human. Left the safety of her own world to go and get her man. Granted, not the smartest idea going to the sea witch, but she thought it was her only choice, and (IMHO) she thought she could get him to kiss her in 3 days.
Jasmine - Ran away from home because she was tired of palace life. Kissed Jafar, willingly, to help Aladdin. 'Nuf said.
Aurora - Wasn't told about her fate as a princess until the day she was suppose to die. Was protected by the three good faeries and was only fell into a sleep. Slept through the majority of the movie. (Okay, this one is like Snow White, but I really have a soft spot for her, and as far as I remember, she didn't know what might happen...though what kind of princess is going to go near a spinning wheel, let along use one?)
Snow White is my alltime favorite! It is probably a good thing that we are on different continents.

My least favorite Disneys:
- Beauty and the Beast (I just HATE the lead characters. Also: the animation is lousy.)
- The Lion King (again: hate the 'heroes'. Rooting for Scar all the way)
- The Sword in the Stone (just plain boring)
- Atlantis (I am beginning to dislike it less but it is still so 'un-Disney')
- Treasure planet (same story as Atlantis)
- Dinosaur (probably the most boring and most predictable movie I have ever seen)

I haven't seen Home on the Range and Brother Bear yet but that is about it. All the other classics I love or at least like.

Btw: the thing that DreamerQ18 and DisneyGirl describe reminds me of a discussion on IMDB about what a bad example Snow White sets for the young because she invades the home of the dwarfes and vandalises it by cleaning it. Well at least she was a bit more of a rebel than all the other Disney-princesses. :P

I didn't like:
The Lion King: cause of so-so songs, the wierd Nazi parody, a baboon that acted more Eastern than African, and bleh characters.
Lilo and Stitch: cause Lilo was a brat all the way through, her oddness, the goofball aliens, and poor use of Elvis songs.

Man, half of you all hated Atlantis, Emperors new groove, Home on the range, Treasure Planet and the black cauldron?

Wow. The Black Cauldron really wasn't THAT bad, c'mon! I LOVE that movie! And the others are good too...........altho I never seen home on the range. But hey, thoughs are your opinions......

I Don't really like:

Most of the movies with princesses & princes - ..are really weird.....
Pinocchio - I dunno, I never really liked it.........
Fantasia - TOO LONG............I only liked 2-3 parts.........
The Hunchback...you know the rest, I just didn't appreciate it.....
The Jungle book - The live action one was WAAAAYYY better......
The Lion king - it's not this movie personally. On Deviantart TONS of ppl draw in that style.....drives me INSANE!!
A bug's life - This one was......odd.......I didn't REALLY like it, it is OK......

That's all I can think of. I have MANY more, but I won't say them. >.>

After a glance through some of the replies I was beginning to think that I was the only one who didn't like Lady and the Tramp. Of all the animated disney movies I have (and I have them all), LATT is without a doubt the one I have watched the least. To this day I have not been able to watch the whole movie in one sitting. I must say it is the biggest bore in the disney library. The only redeeming quality of the whole movie in my opnion is the siamese cat song, which is pretty cool I think.

I like just about everything pre-97, but if you really wanna know...

I hated Hercules. They went from such an amazing drama like "Hunchback" to cheap animation, and slap stick comedy. It was such an insult to their previous films. The worst part is, that it could have been good if it just weren't a comedy.

A close second is Tarzan. Again with the poor animation, but this time they forgot a story. Jane and the villian are introduced way to late and the rest of the movie rushes the love story and the end fight scene. A poory structured film. On a more petty note, I couldn stand Tarzan's friends ( the monkey and the elephant) and although I think Phil Collins made a pretty good soundtrack, it was no where near as deep or powerfull as previous film scores. And I really wish someone else had sung them. I think his voice is whiny.

I also dislike Atlanis. A really annoying cast of really cliche' characters. This movie had a great concept, but was uninspired. We only barely see Atlantis and when we do, we're given no background story, they never really explain the how the place works. It was also crippled by more bad, unrealistic animation. They have't used any that was good since "Hunchback". A real Shame

Another film I really don't get is Dinosaur. Great opening and impressive animation, now how about a plot or a story? We just watch them walk for 90 minutes. The most pointless of the disney films.

Well, like I said, I don't like how she's portrayed in the Disney movie, but I happen to like Belle, and many people hate her, to each her/his own I guess.
We could sit on this thread forever and spin each character in a different way.
"Snow White was to wimpy, she should have fought against the queen"
"Snow White was brave, to go off on her own, when palace life was all she knew."
"Snow White was stupid, she shouldn't have taken food from strangers."
"Snow White has a magical spirit, she believes in wishes and dreams coming true" (or is that Cinderella?)

"Belle was stupid for staying with the Beast, she shouldn't have gone back"
"Belle was brave for giving herself up so her father could go free"
"Belle wasn't thinking straight, her father had only a few good years left before he'd die, she should have left him with the beast"

Anyway, you get my point. We could go on and on with each princess, with each character in every movie for that matter.

Oh and PS, I'm not on a continent, but I get your point.

I recently saw Pocahontas on the Disney Channel.

Very weak film, plot holes aplenty. Too predictable, few songs were good. The characters changed they way they felt about one another way too quickly, not humanly. Very weak.

Well, some of the Disney animated movies that don't get as good reviews I haven't seen (For example, Atlantis, Home on the Range, and a lot of the sequels). But here's my list (and let me say that I do not hate any Disney movies):

The Emperor's New Groove: Okay, I actually do like this movie for it's humor, but there are times where it is a little too dumb. Also, I could never really "feel" for the characters.

Lilo and Stitch: Overall, I like this movie. However, when I see an animated movie, I either want it to almost seem real (well, as real as an animated movie can get) or be more cartoon-ish. For the most part, the first half of the movie, the story is almost believable, then in the second half, it suddenly turns cartoon on you, losing the "real" feeling that it had, and it seems out of place.

Finding Nemo: Humor-wise, I loved this movie. Dory is hilarious, and some of the gags are pure classics. However, story-wise, it lacks. The transitions from scene to scene seem very choppy (From the sharks, to deep water, to jelly fish, to turtles, and so on). They feel more like little individual short films instead of all part of one movie. Also, Marlin completely disappointed me. Albert Brooks was great, it was just the character that I didn't like. He's the hero of the movie, which usually means he should do something that makes me like him. Yet, what did he do? Nothing. Dory was solving all the problems, and he was just going along with her, panicking all the way. The only heroic act he did was save Dory from the jellyfish, but it was his fault they were in the jellyfish forest to begin with! And Nemo could have almost made it home if Marlin and Dory had never shown up (They were pretty much just "there" when he was escaping; only helping out a little bit).

Also, one more note: I love Toy Story, however it seems kind of dumb because Woody and Buzz could have just tied the string of lights to something in Sid's room and gone out the window and slid down to the ground. Then they could just run over to Andy's house and waited for an opportunity to get in the door. :P
