No, you don't need to apologize at all, dear you. You did nothing wrong at all. You only groaned at the flack that was coming, but you didn't do it in a way that was breaking any rules or being mean. You just expressed your honest discontentment and you're allowed to do so.

Obviously. This whole movie feels like a full length commercial - Disney Princesses, Marvel, Star Wars + product placements like ebay and Youtube.
Wreck-it Ralph is the movie which grossed the least among the six CGI films of the Revival, so if anyone wondered why this is getting a sequel while Tangled and Big Hero 6 are only getting a tv series, this is the reason.
With the TV series at least Tangled/BH6 can expain on their worlds & other characters. This sequel is just for Disney to promote it's various franchises & make cheap gags.

If I were making money off of it, I'd probably claim to like it, too. Here's to selling your soul, everybody. :D

Disney will bring in over 2 billion+ in 2019 alone with TS4 & Frozen 2. We ain't seen nothing yet :(

Kyle wrote:Integrity of the characters? Give me a break. If they were the main cast of the movie you would have a point, but this is a collection of glorified cameos. Just enjoy it. Have a laugh if its funny. As for the look of the characters, it looks more appealing than I imagined they might. The slight chibiness works. They had to adapt the style a bit to fit into this videogame universe. If it still counts as one...
I will say though Pocahontas' face doesn't look right to me. And Rapunzel's hair (near her ear in particular) seems off model to me.

The movie will probably suck though. The theme of the movie just doesn't sit well with me.
Sorry, but I just can't enjoy these glorified cameos. And really, does Disney Princess/Star Wars & Marvel need any extra exposure? These are billion dollar properties that can sell anything with just their names attached. We'll see what the 2nd trailer focuses on more: the characters or the cameos.

The design they used for Disney Princesses is awful. But it's just a cameo of their fake versions of themselves so whatever.

so Im late to the party but I finally got around to seeing the trailer and the new pics for this... my reaction is...meh. It looks like its gonna be one long commercial for Disney franchise properties(and Ebay? really?)Then again I had no interest in the first one and ended up enjoying it more that I thought I would. I hope Calhoun and Felix return, I loved them.

as for the Disney princesses, well I think they look...fine. They look cute and no they don't look like themselves which is GOOD! they shouldn't look like themselves here b/c clearly these are not meant to be the actual ones from the films.

I completely agree. As I said, when I first saw them I was disappointed, but now I'm also glad they don't look like themselves. It'll make it easier for me to accept the parody of the scene if it's clear they are not the real characters. Despite that, I'm not sure if I'm going to like the scene. In Enchanted, for example, I think the parody was done with respect and the movie had a nice balance between parody and homage. Here, though, I'm not sure yet. I didn't like the descriptions of the scene much, but we'll see. Maybe it's not as bad as it sounds.

Rumpelstiltskin wrote:Just hope the scene will be in the trailer, because the movie won't be available for some time. For some annoying reason, animated Disney features, and Pixar movies, is released several months later in parts of the world than in America. I wonder why, since Marvel movies is released more or less on the same date all over the world (Avengers: Infinity War was released a little later in Russia and China, but no more than a couple of weeks or so).
Unfortunately that's the release rut that Disney has been stuck with (being a Norwegian, I know a lot of this), since Disney movies gets released overseas about three months after their Domestical release. There has been a few exceptions, though, when some fall releases have been released overseas during Christmas time (as with Treasure Planet and Frozen). But it used to be worse priorly. Usually when Disney released their movies, they didn't come overseas after the folllowing year. And when Disney began with their summer releases (during the nineties and the early 2000's), they were released usually five months after their domestically releases. I guess it must have been because of the Christmas seasons, so it explains it. But it has been worse.

Oh, boy. The product placement is much more flagrant here than in the original. In that poster alone I can see Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat. Why do they need to insert product placement in posters and other promo materials? It's bad enough the movie itself is going to be filled with them. Is this going to be a real movie or just a prolonged commercial? People were heavily criticizing The Emoji Movie before its release for that reason alone but now that Disney's doing it, it's crickets.

disney has very successfully designed a movie that will go down well with todays audience, but in 10 years time will have aged terribly and eventually be forgotten and ignored.

Even Frozen for that matter. Although I think the first Wreck-It Ralph should age considerably better.

The first Ralph will age much better than the first, because we were already about two decades removed from much of what it was based on in the first place. This new one more or less happens today. That's a recipe for disaster.
