Does anyone have the neccessary equipment for making Avatars?

I know there is some way for people with DVD-ROMs to take snapshots and turn them into Avatars... Does anyone here have that cappability?

It would be greatly appreciated. - thanks :)

It's not too enlightening, but any photo-editing program can resize to fit the dimensions. To capture a DVD image, you'll need a DVD program that can take captures like WinDVD or PowerDVD.

Thanks, Luke, but I don't have anything that would be required for that, the money to buy it, or the knowledge of how to run it if I did...

Besides I like my existing Avatar, and have a back up in cast this one gets tired, but I need someone to make a picture of something for me, from a DVD, that I could use on line...

It's no big deal though :) ...

I can do that at some point if I have the DVD.

As for the money to buy those kinds of programs, well few people do have that kind of money. They set the prices so high and wonder why people download stuff on P2P programs.

Thanks, I may ask you to do that, when I need it. :)
