What a nice cover! Love the concept, although it would have been nice to have full body shots of Lady and the Tramp, instead of just half. :) but it's refreshing to see them using different imagery.

Peter Pan for June 5 is confirmed. Going by the schedule, we should see Fantasia before 2018 is over.

Awesome. I'll hold out buying Lady and the Tramp, and buy it together with Peter Pan in June. :) As for Fantasia, I hope they will include all the bonus features from the Anthology box set, even if they are digital exclusives. I missed out on buying the set, and I have the previous Blu-ray, but the BD-Live thing doesn't work anymore, so there are no bonus features available, except the ones about the Walt Disney Family Museum, and the art galleries, all of which are nice, and welcome additions, but I really want to see the comprehensive stuff. :D

That was quick!

Peter Pan is one of my personal favorite Disney movies (despite it's flaws which we discussed earlier on this blog). But I'm not sure I want to double dip this time.

1. The Cover for the Digital Copy Diamond Edition is GORGEOUS. Probably the best they have ever done. I'm not sure I want to give that up.

2. With the L&T blu ray, which was downright hideous. I'm not sure I would be willing to do it again.
unless they do a cover that's better than the Diamond Edition (which I've seen so many times an upgrade is due for me) I'll defiantly get it.

Fantasia is in one of my top 5 Disney films. I just hope they don't pair it with it's lackluster sequel.

Also, now that it's confirmed that these are happening 3 times a year (I assumed last year was a one time thing).

I wonder what's going to be next years?

Of course they are going to release Fantasia 2000, but maybe as a movie club exclusive (I hope not, just release it like normal for everyone).

I'm surprised they didn't do a newer movie this year like The Little Mermaid. It probably will be next year.

I've heard some people suggest that a bigger movie like Cinderella or The Little Mermaid will be the fall release and Fantasia will get a special Christmas release, since they've always treated that film differently. That's just speculation though.

I have no interest in Peter Pan but Fantasia is the only Disney Classic I'm missing on Blu-Ray. I doubt there'll be many bonus features ported over, so I'll have to buy the Anthology DVD set as well to accompany it. I don't expect that Fantasia and its sequel will be packaged together since the Disney Signature Collection website only shows the logo for the first Fantasia movie.

Hey, don't you find the art galleries comprehensive? I don't know if they have enough art since I don't own it but I mean art itself is comprehensive!

Yes, of course, art galleries on Blu-rays are awesome, especially since they're so rare nowadays. By more comprehensive, I meant all the other behind the scenes stuff, and TV Specials that they included on the Anthology set.

So you mean the art galleries are as good as those things, you just wish you also had those other things?

Again, I'll only be buying these releases for the digital copy. I imagine that Return to Neverland and Fantasia 2000 will be DMC exclusives like Lady and the Tramp II and Bambi II.

So I was looking at the Numbers.com combined blu ray sellers.

https://www.the-numbers.com/home-market ... sales/2017

76. Frozen
77. Aristocats
89.Pinocchio
99.Bambi

Damn, Either Aristocats had a crazy sale for 1.00 each or the Disney Vault system is really busted now. If there wasn't any more proof.

Edit: Further information.

https://www.the-numbers.com/movie/Arist ... ideo-sales
This film has had a 50% increase in sales one week all of a sudden.

It made the top 100 of the year before as well.

82. Alice in Wonderland
83. The Aristocats
92. Tangled

Not that I think this will impact anything, it might just be a fluke. But it is interesting.

Maybe it was heavily discounted that one week. I know sometimes, the non-vaulted Disney titles like Alice in Wonderland or The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh can be found especially cheap. I've never checked The Aristocats' price but that was likely the case. I think from the stats posted before that it was one of the top-selling non-vaulted Disney titles though, second to The Fox and the Hound. It also sells the most merchandise out of The Dark Age/Bronze Age films thanks to Marie's popularity in France and Japan.

I actually like this cover. I prefer the one for the Diamond Edition but this ain't too bad. The new extras look worth watching too.

The Walt bonus feature barely seems relevant. The one featuring the voice actors for Wendy and John looks promising though. I like the new cover and the new logo altough Peter looks off-model, although I may actually prefer him this way compared to his Lampwick-like looks in the movie.

I like the cover, but I wish the Big Ben wasn't so prominent in it. That Peter Pan pose looks familiar, I think it's from one of the posters that have been made for the movie. The new extras seem interesting.

What a freaking fantastic cover!!!! Give me hope Cinderella's will be good! I also don't think Peter is off-model, but that's me. I also love the logo.
