Yes, I just got information for the Australian release (September 29).
"Contains three classic Garfield episodes plus and inside featurette showing footage from GARFIELD THE MOVIE."
No cover art yet, only for Garfield as Himself.

Hey That Sounds Cool.
Another DVD Release I might be buying. I better start getting my Video Collection Converted To DVD, and then sell the videos. So I can have money to buy these new releases.

Now tell me where you found that pic!
I got it from the TV Shows On DVD website. They always seem to be the first to get cover artwork and stuff like that for upcoming TV releases. Add it to your favourites.

I can't wait for this one! I've only seen the Hallowe'en special once years ago, but the Christmas special is a holiday staple, which I have taped from 1994.Grandmaster C wrote:I can't wait to have this one just for the Christmas special and the Halloween special with the scary old man that scared me when I was a kid. Awesome stuff.

I got the "Garfield & Friends: Volume One," and really enjoyed it ... not having seen the show since I was a child. It's really very funny (and I love the things like the self-references). I'm definitely going to get the next set. Can't wait!

Here's the specs for the UK movie disc (I don't think the US one has been announced yet)
Edit: Found the specs for the US release (single disc) and the UK sound much superior:20th Century Fox have announced the November 26th release of both the standard and 2-disc Special Edition DVD sets of Garfield The Movie. Both sets will have the 77mins movie presented with an anamorphic widescreen transfer and DD5.1 English audio.
The single disc release will be a bare-bones affair and will retail at £15.99.
The 2-disc Special Edition will boast a Garfield Inside Look; Find Odie Maze and Mixing Moments set-top games; an audio commentary with Peter Hewitt and John Davis; deleted scenes; a Garfield The Cat To Life featurette; a Grab A Number 2 Pencil multi-angle featurette; a Gone Nutty featurette; The Birth Of Garfield featurette; The Rise Of Garfield featurette; Garfield: From Strip To Script featurtte;an Illustrated Technical Commentary; 5 multi-angle Garfield Composite Workshop segments; and 4 Multi-angle storyboard-to-film comparison segments.
The Special Edition will retail at £24.99.
The disc will carry both 1.33:1 full frame and 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfers along with English Dolby Surround 5.1, Spanish Dolby Surround and French Dolby Surround tracks. Extras will include an audio commentary by Director Peter Hewitt and Producer John Davis, the Baha Men "Holla" music video and trailers for Cheaper by the Dozen, Dr. Dolittle, Like Mike, The Sandlot, Strawberry Shortcake. You can also expect a few sneak peaks.
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database

Good to see some Garfield fans here.
First set was great, though this next set probably represents the peak for the show. Every season was great and the show never jumped the shark, but volume two in particular seems to be the pinnacle of the show.
Also can't wait for the tv specials on dvd, right in time for my favorite three months of the year.
I was impressed with how well the show looks after 16 years especially considering it is a saturday morning cartoon. CBS gave the show a nice budget and it obviously shows with the quality the show put out. Had they not wanted to cut the budget during the "let's destroy saturday morning" phase networks went through in the mid 90's, it would have been on even longer.
Still it represents the peak of saturday morning cartoons {CBS has the highest quality lineup IMPO}. It's a welcome addition to my dvd collection.
