New Aladdin Soundtrack?

Post by Swiss »

I saw that on the sweepstakes page. That artwork looks fab, does anyone know is we will get a special edition soundtrack? Be nice if it would include additional tracks like B&tB did. I hope DisneyStore makes a limited edition and numbered edition.

EDIT: Now it's my avatar! Love this new coverart

I am sure we must be getting a new Special Edition Soundtrack. It should be announced soon, surprised it's still not. I love this new coverart so hoping it is so. :P

The coverart looks nice. I will probably buy it. I saw the regular Aladdin at Circuit City one day, but I decided not to get it because I was almost positive disney would release a special edition soundtrack.

of course! The only way you can get the unedited is if you get the first printings of the CD (I proudly own a original 1992 copy). Then it went OOP and they reissue it with an ugly cover and with the edited song this CD is also OOP. so you have to look on ebay for the original 1992

So what exactly is different about this one as oppose to the old one? I've been collecting Disney soundtracks lately and this is one of the few I haven't got yet. I prefer more music and less singing, is that a difference at all?

That doesn't even look like Aladdin and Jasmine. I prefer the more serious-looking cover art of the original soundtrack than this new fischer price look.

How many tracks are on the new special edition cd? The original one had 21.

I still own the original release soundtrack, which isn't edited. I wonder if this means that all platinum editions will be accompanied by a soundtrack release now? That would be great, although I very recently went on a soundtrack shopping spree and now have Sleeping Beauty as well as Cinderella. Maybe Bambi will be good? I'll decide once I see the movie.
