Flight of the Navigator (Remake)

Post by Barbossa »

Another remake from Disney, this time Flight of the Navigator.
'Navigator' to take flight again

I wonder if Joey Cramer will get a cameo. He could use better work. He's stuck working in a Source for Sports store here in BC, out on the coast in Sechelt.

If I ever make it to Gibsons or the Sunshine Coast in the near future, I should stop by there with a copy of Navigator and get him to sign it for me. 8)

I wonder whn they'll start work on a Black Hole remake.

Now that's just ridiculous. The original isn't old enough to warrant a remake. And I don't normally mind remakes, but c'mon. Black Hole I could actually imagine them doing a remake of, but not Navigator...

Navigator's one of my all time favorites, so I dunno about this . . .

Another remake, Disney?!? Ugh. UGh. UGH.

I've always wanted to see Flight of the Navigator, and I bought the DVD last year (but I'm still going through all my unwatched DVDs, so I'll get to it eventually).

I just wish we'd get a press release about an all-original Disney movie in production. Let me rephrase that: I just wish we'd get a press release about a wonderful all-original Disney movie in production; G-Force, while original, and I applaud them for that, looks kind of crappy, IMO.

Hollywood is remaking films *that are only a year old* simply because it's in a different language so remaking Navigator doesn't surprise me.

*sigh* I'm getting tired of re-makes. Or excuse me, I think the term Hollywood is going with these days is "re-imaginings."

Dear Disney: For the Love of all things good, do NOT remake Flight of the Navigator. I don't want to see a **Disney Channel star** as David! The movie isn't even 25 years old yet, please leave it alone.

p.s. I don't want to see Moises Aries or Jake T. Austin as "David"!
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.

I'm not for remakes, but at least The Jim Henson Company is involved...?!
