Just as I was considering not even watching this season since Emma will likely be killed off, my interest has piqued. I was really annoyed that Zelena had been unceremoniously written off but I'm glad to know that she'll be back for several episodes.

Wow, the only interesting thing I've heard about the new season so far. I was sure I'd end up missing most of the season or just half-assing it, but I guess now I'm going to have to sort through the 50+ posts there'll be per episode about Cinderella now.

I'm thinking of just watching the episodes with Zelena and Emma's sole episode. Usually clips of the episodes are on youtube so I might just watch Zelena's on there depending on the reviews of the first few episodes.

But you like Disney's 1950 Cinderella. Do you not want to see anything about their Cinderella characters and story just because you don't like Cinderella's actress?

I think she's tired of the show after leading it for six seasons. I've heard that she's done this in the past too with previous shows, leaving them after getting bored. Rebecca Mader on the other hand, only debuted in the latter half of the 3rd season and didn't become a regular cast member until the 5th season I think and even then her actual appearances would fluctuate depending on the plotline. Not to mention that Rebecca (as well as Belle's actress) both wanted to return but it was the showrunners who didn't ask for them back. They must have changed their minds sense Belle and Gideon will have an episode as well. I think they realized it might be a mistake to not tie in the new seasons with the old.

I wasn't really a fan of how they did the Cinderella story the first time. The actress was pretty bland and the fairy godmother removed from the equation too quickly. Not to mention the stepfamilies differ in almost all their appearances: the first Cinderella episode in Season 1, Anastasia from OUAT in Wonderland, and then in this last season's first half. I didn't like the lack of consistency (which this show is notorious for). That last episode was particularly bad with Lady Tremaine being a crazy axe-murderer but with her cane instead of an axe and also armed with a shotgun.

The new Lady Tremaine looks better but I don't like the concept of reusing characters. It was ok for Cinderella because she really is a character in every culture basically, but now creating new versions of Alice and Rapunzel is getting to be too much. Not to mention, I wasn't a fan of the first version of Rapunzel, nor am I a fan of Disney's Rapunzel, so this new version will not appeal to me either. The new Cinderella actress isn't my cup of tea either. I liked her in Devious Maids but she was easily the weakest of the four leads, and her character was insufferable. I haven't seen her in anything else (besides X-Men 3 where she plays the typical silent villain sidekick) so my opinion of her is pretty colored by that one role which is arguably her most well known one.

No, I’m not at all interested in the Cinders 3.0 reboot with a trashier actress and a storyline that verbatim rehashes season 1's Snow White and the season 6 finale. And with a much less intimidating villain.

A: Lady Tremaine is certainly not the only one who’s wicked this season. “My slogan for [Drizella] is buttoned up and bitchy,” Adelaide Kane says with a laugh. “She seems like a very high-strung, slightly ditzy young woman and she’s just very petty and she’s like that awful bully in high school except that she doesn’t know how to win people to her side, so she’s just alone, snappy, snarky, sarcastic and miserable all the time.”

Q: I am a huge Once Upon A Time fan, and was also a fan of Reign. Would you happen to have any scoop on Adelaide Kane as Drizella?

Oh, ok JeanGreyForever. Yes, I can see why Jennifer Morrison doesn't want to return while the others do. I, too, hope she doesn't get killed. I just wish that instead of appearing in only one episode, she was willing to do a few episodes here and there, even if it's just a few at the end of the series when she reunites with Hook after the last curse or battle they fight. I am glad they have Zelena back.

I somewhat liked their Cinderella actress. I hated what they did to the fairy godmother. I loved Anastasia in Wonderland. I actually liked the Enchanted Forest portion of the last Cinderella they did. But I understand now why you aren't looking forward to this new one. It's all understandable. And I didn't like their last Rapunzel either.

And now, yes, Disney's Divinity, after your explanation I understand why you aren't looking forward to this Cinderella too. But how are they rehashing season 6's ending again?

The showrunners confirm we won't be seeing Robin Hood anytime soon.

A: “Never say never, but… not in the immediate run of episodes,” Adam Horowitz told us when we delivered your question. Co-creator Eddy Kitsis added, “We love Sean and we love that character — and Robin Hood is obviously still out there,” presumably engaged to Regina’s other half. So while Season 7 features “Evil Queen Prime” (as some dub the original), “that is not to say that Sean may not pop up at some point.”

A: Fresh from screening the Season 7 premiere, Matt Mitovich reports that although English actress Rose Reynolds (Poldark) is the lesser known of the several new additions, she definitely “pops” and gives Alice a fun, mischievous streak. Just do not pigeonhole this Alice as being “from Wonderland”! (She gets testy.)

Evil Queen Prime refers to Regina living in Storybrooke (and now in Hyperion Heights) as opposed to Regina who lives in the Enchanted Forest and is engaged to Robin of Loxley.

No, she's referred to by the fandom as Split Regina. Wish Realm Regina was banished by the Charmings to who knows where, is presumably older, and never made an appearance on the show.

The outfits are very generic especially the ballgowns. The filters they are using in the photos on the main site are especially atrocious. I didn't think it was possible for a photoshoot to get worse than the one they initially used for Season 3 before they were so universally panned that they were instantly replaced.
