I liked the movie. I liked its creativity and some of the messages it used. I liked how it didn't have as many cliches as usually you find in animated films.

I saw The Lego Batman Movie yesterday. It wasn't as good as TLM, but I thought it was funny for the most part (particularly the Joker/Batman stuff--my favorite scene is Batman in Joker's cell, followed by Joker confronting Batman later "After 78 years, I deserve some respect!"--and the middle onwards when all the evil properties Warner Bros owns take over the city). Godzilla taking out Sauron had me rolling. I also loved the ending when the city is splitting apart and then they pull it back together complete with Lego sound effect. rotfl

The serious storyline with Batman pushing people away is what holds the movie back, just like the cringey live-action scene from TLM with the father and the son. I'm not really looking forward to Ninjago, but I'll end up seeing it. I'm more interested in The Lego Movie Sequel. Gotta love these titles.

I enjoyed the sequel to this. Not as funny as the first--I especially missed Morgan Freeman--but still pretty hilarious. Tiffany Haddish was the highlight and I loved her song. The Twilight vampire and the baby-voiced stars, hearts, and monster aliens were lolworthy, too. Of course, the plot was easier to predict than the first when you already know the story is a game between children.
