The Evolution of Pete (from Disneystore thread)

Notice the evolution of pete... the addition of a large chin

I still like the older version, the newer version is cool too though...

I hate Mickey from the late 40's 50's YUCK! Ugguly!, but I like old Mickey and newer Mickey is cool...

The "original" (who may not be the original - I've no idea how he looked in the Alice and Oswald shorts) does look like a cat.

The newer one seems to confuse a lot of people. Most people I talk to think Pete is a dog. :?

They need to go back a few stages in his evolution I think to the Pete from shorts like Pluto's Judgement Day. Here his is quite clearly a cat, but as big and bulky as the current Pete. (That said - He looks pretty cat like in Mickey's segment of Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas)

Yes, he recently (house of mouse) looks more like a dog, than a cat... I don't know why the animators are messing him up, those inconsiderate animators... :p.. anyways, I hope that they do go back a few "generations", as you said, that would RULE!

Haven't I seen Pete and Micky Mouse in a cartoon together? I'm sure I haven't seen "Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas" before. Maybe I saw another cartoon.
